Food and a revelation.

A little while after Todd went to prepare the food he returns with two bowls and hands one to you.

"It's your favorite. Clam chowder."

"I wouldn't be a true New Englander if it wasn't," you joke with him. You are happy to have a chance to forget about your situation and just joke around. Humor has definitely been lacking from your life in the past few months.

You both start eating in silence for a few minutes and for a second it feels like old times. Just sitting on the couch with a friend send having a meal. This feeling goes away however when you put your feet up on your coffee table and kick your revolver off the table. The weapon is a good reminder of your current situation.

You stand up and bend over the table to retrieve the gun when you spot Todd in the corner of your eyes and you can immediately see where his eyes are focused.

"Are you staring at my ass?" you ask while looking at Todd over your shoulder. He nervously stumbles over his words as he tries to deny your allegations, and you can't help but laugh at his stammering.

"I'm sorry," Todd exclaims, realizing you aren't buying his denials. "I just use to fantasize about this moment."

"You fantasized about the eradication of humanity?"

"No, not that. Just... being alone with you."

"What? Really?" You had no idea that Todd thought about you in that way. You thought about him as a friend and you figured he felt the same way about you.

"Yeah," Todd now looks down at his feet, embarrassed, "I had a huge crush on you. I used to be so jealous of Charlie. I would always wonder why I couldn't have a perfect girl like you."

You are shocked. You just found out that not only was your friend attracted to you, but he thought you were perfect. Todd still looks at his shoes as he can't bring himself to look at your reaction.
