Follow your nose

Instead of taking the elevator back to the first floor you enter into the stairs. You sniff the air. Her scent seems stronger above you.

You begin to climb. You can't believe how easily you are climbing stairs. You've gone up several flights at a near run and you aren't even winded.

Then you see Charlotte up several floors. She is with another girl.

"Charlotte! Wait for me!" You yell.

You lick you lips as she stops. Above you the two girls seem to be engaged in an argument.

As you get closer you hear the other girl. "...You can't trust her."

Charlotte answers. "I don't care, Tasha. She's my friend. We need to wait for her."

You turn a corner and see them up one flight of stairs. The other girl, Tasha. is blond and petite. She wears loose black dressy pants and a black suit top.

She stares at you. "So, are you still her friend?"

You lock eyes with Charlotte. "Of course I am. We graduated together."

"You know this place is evil. The videos are filled with subliminal messages and they pump in an odorless gas to make you more suggestible."

You pause. Some of what she says makes sense. Part of you wants to know what you are getting into. Still you want very much to please Your new mentor.
