Follow the path

Part of you wants to rebel, if Cerve isn't going to guide you then why expend effort? But you're also very curious and can't think of any way you'd be better of staying still. Surely if you're still in the basement you'll find a wall soon and then maybe you can feel your way out of the basement.

You strike out towards the path, holding your hands out in front of you to avoid face planting into a solid wall in the real world. You make it ten paces and then ten more and ten more for good measure. There's no way any part of your house has segments long enough that you'd still be walking. Something very strange is going on.

Before long you make it to the path, thankful that the dirt is soft with few rocks as your dainty feet are bare. With no signs you aren't sure which direction to go. The left is downhill which would be an easier walk, but if you go to the right you might find a vantage point to see further out.
