Follow the Recon team

The spymaster grinned as the Bravos went their separate ways, sending out seperate teams to keep track of both pairs, but dedicating his focus to the duo that was heading deepening into the manor. He would deal with them first, both since they would be easier to handle and because they were potentially more dangerous in the shadows. As he was in charge to the storage and protection of the Diadem, and he knew the layout of the Manor like the back of his hand, he was well aware that they weren't heading anywhere useful. While many valuable items were stored in the lower levels--some of them even set to be auctioned that very night, the Diadem wasn't one of them. After all, why keep the crown jewel where any common thief might accidentally happen upon it?

The Bravos made their way through room after room, Becky's skills with a lock pick and the careful application of several quickly crafted alchemical compounds were more than enough to bypass even some of the most complicated locks. So far they had found practically nothing of use.

They had been through a number of rooms by now, down here past the servant's quarters, but so far had found nothing of use. It was mostly kitchen supplies, sewing needles, fancy fabrics, the sort of toys nobles liked to keep around. Some of the cloths and spices seemed to be of such a high quality that both Becky and Liv were shocked, but they seemed to lack that necessary magical essence which would give them enough value to be bid on at a place like this. Still, it felt like they were moving in the right direction-- or at least a direction-- so they kept going.

As his agents confirmed that they were still going deeper, however, the Spymaster realized that sooner or later, they were likely to stumble upon one of the more interesting rooms--something that might hold their attention, distracting them for a while. That would likely prove the best opportunity for his agents to strike.
