Madeline really was just a nice person deep down. She couldn't help it she had matured faster than any of the other girls in the vault. Nor could she help the fact she was stunningly good looking and supple. Everyone was so nice to her it seemed, at least the men and boys of the vault. She figured she should be nice in return. From helping scrum the carbon filters, working in the reactor room (maybe that's how her breasts got so big she wondered!). Everyone liked Madeline and she was knew she had some good Karma coming her way.

....Madeline’s father was privy to the major gossip in the vault being a doctor and a key component to the Overseer’s staff. She heard that an expedition was to be sent out in search of another vault which might have an extra Electromagnetic Motion Refiner Array (EMRA). She just knew she had to volunteer. She mentioned joining the expedition and asked her father for permission and had hoped he might help influence who went--but he immediately condemned the scheme. She could try to convince the Overseer directly and see if he could be persuaded somehow of letting her be a part of the expedition or she might try and convince Captain Ward, the current security officer and named leader of the expedition.
