So doing quests by at least four increases the perceived difficulty and the rewards. Cool, that is why none of Bart's planned rewards are showing up. Now that I have time, let me invest something in perks.

For the other 4, let's get more conditional quests, and Quest Designer III is leaving me with 0 again. None of them has valuable enough perks for me to want to copy them. For now...

When Kim gets dressed, she gets the quest: 'make a flirtatious post.' Reward: depending on the number of simps.

When Kim thinks of Pieter, she gets the quest: 'send Pieter things to arouse him.' Reward: depends on titillation.

I get into work, get changed, and start preparing the ingredients for lunch. All goes well, no idiot is doing dumb things. I need to warn them about. "Yeah, no, he needs to pay for the replacement stuff and be put on notice. But I would rather give him the benefit of the doubt than ruin his life by going to the police. So I will talk to him, and if he doesn't pay, we can always still go to the police." With that, I ended the conversation and called Jan into the office. "Jan, what did you take out of my car, and are you going to replace my window?"

He stutters when getting caught. "Wait your car? Don't you always cycle to work? There were women's clothes in your backseat. Those I stole."

"My girlfriend's stuff she left at my place considered seeing her after my appointment and work. That appointment is in Veldhoven, so I can hardly go there without a car promptly. Give me her stuff back."

Signing this document means that Jan admits to breaking into Pieter's car and trying to steal stuff worth 20 euros from his car." The document gets signed in triplicate, and a copy stays with the notary, and the others with Jan and me.

"Why did I need to sign that anyway?" He asks me.

"Simple, you can't weasel your way out of a contract. I hope you pay it back in a year. Debt is a bitch. The amount of money is small as long as you work properly. It is ⅔ of your monthly salary, so in 4 months it should be doable, I think."

He squints: "Based on what numbers?"

"Minimum wage, 20 hours work, the quotes, 300 euro rent, 75 euro spending money per week, and assuming 3 days of me borrowing the car."

"75 euros a week is nothing! That is assuming 4½ weeks a month means 300 ish euro a month." I nod.

"That is what I spend. I am not living in luxury, but I have a good lifestyle, healthy, and yeah, I don't go out much, but that's fine."

By the time we arive it is so late that the rest have left for work at the client. Jessica texts: 'You can have the rest of the day off if you clean properly. Jan has been noted as a no-show. For two reasons. 1 This is his own fault. 2 he didn't do work.' I show him, and he starts cursing. There is no value in it as I clean the kitchen. In an hour, it is cleaner than I ever get it after work normally. Mental exhaustion from dealing with customers must be really something.

Jan left as soon as he was done with his tirade, complaining to his fake AI girlfriend. I wish he would let it go. How much is a subscription to that anyway? I look for the first time.
