Flashbacks

"Dr. Williamson?" Rebecca asked as she approached the older woman.

"Huh?" Amelia asked, looking away from Chomi as she snapped back to reality. "Oh, right. Sorry. And it's Professor actually."

"Pro-Fez-Zar!" Chomi exclaimed with a smile.

"... It's a coincidence." Amelia thought to herself, almost wanting herself to believe it.

"Please ignore her. She's the foreign idiot cousin of my local idiot cameraman." Rebecca said, getting a glare from Nick. "Anyway, I'm Rebecca Daniels. We spoke on the phone yesterday. We're here for the interview about your discovery?"

"Oh... Oh! That's right! You were coming today!" Amelia said as she dusted herself off. "Terribly sorry. I'm in my own little world right now. Please, have a seat."

As Rebecca sat down at a table across from Amelia and Nick set up the camera, Chomi looked around at the dig site, everything looking strange and new but yet... Oddly familiar.

"Okay, ready?" Nick asked, getting a nod from the two women. "Okay. Three... Two... One..."

"I'm here with Professor Amelia T. Williamson herself to talk about this amazing discovery in archeological history." Rebecca said to the camera before turning to Amelia. "First of all, thank you for having us, Professor."

"You're very welcome."

"So, I understand that this tomb is quite the enigma in and of itself, is that correct?"

"Oh, 'enigma' is much too light a word to describe it." Amelia said with a laugh, "The architectural design alone turns everything we thought we knew about early human civilization in America on it's head!"

"Really?" Rebecca asked, feigning interest.

As Rebecca continued the interview, Chomi eyed an area where a large group of people were working. Still clutching Rebecca's bag, the young woman walked towards where the crowd was, everyone to busy excavating the tomb to notice the woman. Chomi stopped and looked around, her smile turning into a concerned frown.

Now she was certain that she had seen this somewhere before, but where?!

Chomi stopped as she eyed the large chamber that contained a stone casket with the lid having been moved off to the side. As she stepped into the room, she felt a sharp chill run up her spine as her nipples became diamonds from the cold. Taking a closer look, Chomi saw the writing on the stone casket... Her eyes widening as her memory came flooding back to her...

10,000 years ago...

"Aslango thanga wonganna lakote Konja Calmek," An old woman in her fifties addressed a crowd of people as she placed a jade necklace around Chomi's neck, "alongo lakono Kimque Chomi!"

The tribe cheered wildly as Chomi smiled, having ascended the throne at the age of twenty-four after the untimely **** of her father, King Calmek. She gave a small wave to her twin brother, Tooku; the leader of the hunting party waving back at his sister.

Hours later, Chomi and Tooku were walking alongside the river talking with one another as Chomi sat down on a log... Before yelping in pain as she jumped up, a large snake slithering off. The last thing she saw before blacking out was Tooku roaring in anger as he grabbed his spear and impaled the snake before turning back to his sister in fear...

"CHOMI! GALBANGA!"

10,000 years later...

*KABOOM!*

Chomi woke with a start, gasping in fear at the loud noise. She looked around to see, but it was as pitch black as it was surprisingly cold. Feeling around, Chomi felt stone surrounding her as she realized that she was in the stone caskets her tribe used for...

Wait... Was she dead?!

Quickly, Chomi placed her hand over her heart, a wave of relief washing over her as she realized that she was still alive. That snake must have caused her to slip into a coma long enough for the tribe to believe she was dead.

Boy, would they be in for a surprise.

Chomi reached up to move the lid of the casket when she heard footsteps and strange voices speaking in an unrecognizable language. She paused and waited for the owners of the voices to leave...

Something that wouldn't happen for an additional twelve hours.

Once she was sure that the voices were gone, Chomi reached up again and pushed the lid to the casket off, climbing out of the stone coffin as she looked around the tomb. She had no idea why it was cold, but she knew that she would bring a smile to Tooku's face once she left. The young woman smiled as she raced out of the tomb, hearing the sound of the heavy rain...

Only to gasp in horror once she had left!

Where was her tribe?! Where was her brother?! Where was... She?!

Scared and confused, Chomi ran off as she tried to find anything that was familiar to her. As she ran, she felt a snag on her woven dress, causing her to turn around just as a bolt of lightning flashed...

Screaming in terror at the giant monster grabbing her dress! Chomi pulled and tugged until the dress was ripped off her body, leaving her completely naked as she ran off, losing her jade necklace somewhere in the mud.

And she didn't stop running until she came to a tall, wooden barrier...

Chomi gasped as everything came back to her, tears welling up in her eyes...

"... And you won't believe this, but this society seemed to possess a monarchy system as, before the flash freeze of The Ice Age, they even had a queen!" Amelia exclaimed excitedly.

"Ha! Hear that, America? If cavemen can get onboard the idea..." Rebecca joked to the camera, causing Nick to sigh.

"And according to the translations we took," Amelia continued, "we actually have a name for who this tomb was built for. This tribe had a young queen which they named -"

"Elonga nooda Ikana symbonna!" Chomi exclaimed as she ran past the three, bawling her eyes out.

"Chomi?!" Nick asked in concern.

"CUT! CUT! CUT! CUT!" Rebecca shrieked, getting up and stomping her foot before turning to Nick. "What the hell is that bitch's problem now?!"

"I don't know! We have to go after her and -"

"'We'?! Oh, no! She's your cousin! I'm staying here and continuing my interview!" Rebecca spat, "Give me one good reason why I should go after that loony!"

"Because she still has your make-up bag?" Nick said, "The one you also put the keys to your penthouse apartment and expensive sports car in?"

"... ... ..." Rebecca went wide eyed as she turned to Amelia with a sheepish chuckle. "Can you excuse us for a second? We'll continue the interview when I get back."

"Uh... Sure." Amelia said as she watched Rebecca practically drag Nick away. Once they were gone, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number. "Hello, Hannah? Is Xena with you? I need you three to come down to the dig site right now. Why? Well, remember that theory I had regarding the preservation of the body in permafrost?"

"Chomi! Come back!" Nick called out as he and Rebecca chased after the crying woman...

Until Rebecca saw Chomi throw the furry, black and white bag into the woods.

"Oh, you little -" Rebecca snarled. "I'm going after the bag! You do whatever you want!"

Nick wasn't about to argue as he continued to run after Chomi, Rebecca running into the woods as she searched through the tall grass.

"If I get grass stains on my new blazer, jacket, or skirt, Nick, I'll make a new one out of your -" Rebecca stopped as she noticed something furry and black and white in color laying in the grass. "There you are!"

Rebecca picked up the furry, black and white object and opened the flap... Just as she noticed her make-up bag a few feet away. But if that was the bag, what was she holding? Curiosity getting the better of her, Rebecca looked down at the open flap of the "bag" in her hands...

And immediately wished she didn't when she noticed a head at the other end hiss angrily at her as the "flap" raised higher...

"Chomi! Chomi! Where are you?!" Nick called out in worry as he ran down the street, unfortunately having lost the young woman. He had no idea what happened, but he had a pretty good idea that that tomb must have brought back some kind of memory for Chomi. "Chomi! Cho-"

Nick stopped as he finally laid eyes on Chomi. Or more specifically, where he found Chomi...
