Fix a mistake

OLD RULE: Taylor Hebert never went to Winslow, she instead was accepted into Arcadia

Taylor blinked rapidly as suddenly her history got more than a little complicated. She suddenly had two pasts. One was the life she had lived going to Winslow leading her to this point. The other was the life she lived attending Arcadia.

The Arcadia life was so much better.

So, soooo much better. It wasnt perfect. But it was better. For instance she wasnt contemplating suicide at least once a week. She wasnt in fear for her life thanks to Sophia shoving her down the steps or something just as dangerous. She wasnt failing classes thanks to sabotage from her former friend. Friends! She had friends again. She had a life again!

The main thing bringing it all down was that her dad was depressed. Taylor couldnt fault him. Sometimes she was still depressed. Her mother's **** had pretty much destroyed the both of them. And neither one of them were really all that sure about how to fix what was broken.

Well, until now.

She could save her mother now.

It wouldnt even be hard. The Rulebook could change the past easily enough so how hard would it be to stop one car accident? All her mother needed to survive was one simple side air bag. Just add an 'old rule' and the problem was solved.

Although.... why stop at just her mother? She could save a whole bunch of lives if she worded it right. Although, air bags weren't the end all be all of safety. What cars needed was something like.... oh, what was it... her new arcadia friend Sally made them watch that fun stupid Stallone Demo Man movie two weeks ago at a sleepover....

"Work with me brain." Taylor grumbled as she tried to remember.

Taylor could not stop the tears that started and wouldnt have tried to even if she could. Her mother was alive again! Her family wasnt broken anymore! Everything was better then it had ever been!

Taylor barely even gave it a thought that her friendship with Emma still fell apart the same way it had in her old life. She'd gone over to Emma's house one summer day and Emma suddenly was friends with Sophia and freaked out on Taylor. Well, whatever.... Whatever had happened there it was Emma's problem. Not Taylors. Taylor Hebert had a brand new world of infinite possibilities ahead of her.
