Five strange stations.

The girls entered the room to see five stations set up like salon hair dryers. Each seat had an adjustable plastic dome and faced a screen with a black and white pattern on it.

"Have a seat, girls." The man ushered each of them to one of the chairs and adjusted the dome. He flicked a switch on the back of each and the girls' minds were filled with static.

After each was situated, the man walked back to the door and flipped another switch. The black and white patterns on the screen resolved into a spinning black and white whirl. He watched the stress go out of the girls' shoulders as they were drawn into the recording he’d made.
