Chapter 8 by CrawlingM CrawlingM

What happens next?

Five minutes of cleanup later

"I think those wipes must be magical," Gabby says with a smile. She's your former computer science classmate and roommate, now girlfriend and ebony fuck toy, her womb filled with your seed. She beamed and twirled, looking at herself in a shop mirror "I feel like I just showered!"

Well, she's all that at least until you figure out how to turn her back. Though you're not sure old Gary would want to remember what he'd just done to you. She looks at you waiting for a response. You nod in agreement and smile, you do feel surprisingly refreshed. "We should probably ask Rachel about a thing or two."

"I guess it can't hurt," Gabby sighed as she had begun looking through various knick-knacks on display nearby. "She seems nice enough, and I need to know where I can get a box of these," Gabby says as she presents the box of wet wipes.

"Oh, wow, you didn't know what sort of stuff we deal?" Rachel said with a look of amusement on her face. "Step outside and read the sign," she says fluttering her hands as if to blow you backwards. The two of you take a few steps out onto the walkway outside the store and look up at the sign.

"Wow, and it's free?" Gabby said with awe in her voice. "Sure is! Well, you don't pay money, you pay through subscriptions," Rachel beamed as she joined the two of you outside, looking up at the sign. Along with the text, there was a lot of glitter and a cutout of witch flying on a broom, zapping another woman that transformed into various sort of women. "You guys must be from one of those hardcore planes where they still are using money and covet property," Rachel said in an investigative tone while pointing a finger at the both of you.

"What do you mean by subscriptions?" you ask, more interested in that than telling her too much about your arrival here. Rachel wiggles her eyebrows and smirks for a moment before answering. "Well, a lot of magic is bartering with various spirits and other entities. So there's some trade going on, for sure. but they aren't interested in money. They are interested in spreading their influence, so to speak. So to do that they offer various trinkets that gives you an advantage, but it also gives them something they want."

"Is this permanent? I put on a wig and I can't get it off again," Gabby says as she pulls off the bracelet, but her clothing stay the same. "You have to unsubscribe, and some items fuse more to the wielder than others," Rachel replies as she walks the two of you back over to the counter inside the store, picking up a few flyers and handing them over to you. "Wigs being a good example of items that usually fuse and can't be recovered. but once you've put something on, like that bracelet there, it's subscribed and you can put it away. Which can be handy if you like the look of an item but want to combine it with other items without changing things you're wearing."

"So if Gabby wanted to undo the hair and the bracelet, she would unsubscribe... how?" You ask, getting a little impatient and annoyed with Gabby's curiosity. "Also, she doesn't seem to remember being a dude anymore."

"Oh that last part is pretty normal. You need to pick up some awareness modifier trinkets to adjust what you are aware of before picking up any items. If not you're completely unaware of any changes," Rachel explains as she gestures to a dozen rubber armbands with various colors on the desk. "Though they are not without their disadvantages either. I got a shop keep bracelet which makes sure I don't get fired for following new instincts trying out new outfits, but I've got no idea who I used to be before I put on an item. At least, until I unsubscribe."

"Speaking of which, as long as you don't climax with you can just step out of the store through that portal there," Rachel says as she points to what looks like a door frame with no door in it, with a wooden sign that has the word 'unsubscribe' carved above it. "Or, just say the unsubscription phrase found in those flyers there out loud if you don't want to come back here."

"Interesting," you say as you glance over at Gabby, who catches your gaze and gives you a horny but curious smile. "So if you don't put on an awareness trinket before putting on you won't ever remember who you were?"

"No, it varies for every item and the amount of them you put on, but most of them are obligated to return your awareness of your past selves within a week," Rachel replies with a patient smile. "You can try to cancel before then, but climaxing or doing some of the other caveats connected to an item means you're obligated to run out the minimum time."

"Ooh, so I'm stuck like this for a while?" Gabby asks in a hopeful tone. "Afraid so, love," Rachel says as she puts a hand on Gabby's shoulder. "But I'm sure neither of you will feel too bad about that. At least until your awareness returns."

"Alright," Gabby says in a poorly attempt at sounding disappointed. "I'm still a little skeptical about all this, but you seem to know your stuff. Do you have anything that adjusts your name? Gary seems a bit too tomboyish for me."

"We got some kits where we can make new names," Rachel says as she takes Gabby's hand before glancing over at you, who have started skimming through the flyer. "You want to read that one while I help Gary get a better name?"

Flyer or something else?
