First passions
Kaelen’s hand brushed mine, his fingers sliding between my own as we slipped into the secluded alcove, hidden from the prying eyes of the citadel. My heart pounded in my chest, each beat a thunderous echo of anticipation and nerves. The air around us was thick with unspoken longing, heavy like the scent of night-blooming jasmine after a summer rain. I could feel his gaze on me, intense and probing, as if he were trying to decipher the secrets I kept locked away in the depths of my soul. My breath quickened, shallow and uneven, as his thumb grazed the back of my hand, a tender yet urgent gesture that sent a shiver down my spine, settling low in my belly.
“Liora,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through every nerve in my body. His other hand reached out, cupping my cheek with a gentleness that belied the raw power I knew he possessed. I leaned into his touch, my eyes fluttering closed as his thumb traced the line of my jaw, sending sparks of heat through me. His movements were deliberate, calculated, as if he were guiding me through uncharted territory, and I felt my walls crumbling, brick by brick, under the weight of his attention. My lips parted, trembling with the effort to hold back the words, the fears, the desires that threatened to spill out.
“Trust me,” he whispered, his breath warm against my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. His words were a command, but they were also a plea, and I felt the weight of them settle in my chest like a stone. I nodded, my trust in him fragile yet precious, like a flame flickering in the wind, ready to be snuffed out by the slightest gust of doubt. His lips found mine, soft at first, a tentative brush that left me aching for more. I surrendered to the moment, my hands clutching at his tunic, my fingers tangling in the fabric as he deepened the kiss, his tongue teasing mine with a hunger that mirrored my own.
His touch was everywhere, his hands roaming over my body with a possessiveness that both thrilled and terrified me. He pressed me against the cold stone wall, his body flush against mine, and I felt the hardness of him, a promise of what was to come. My breath hitched as his lips trailed down my neck, his teeth nipping at my skin, sending sparks of pleasure coursing through me. I moaned softly, my head falling back, exposing the sensitive curve of my neck, and he growled in response, his hands gripping my hips with a **** that bordered on bruising, branding me as his.
“You’re mine,” he growled against my skin, his voice rough with need. “Say it.”
My heart hammered against my ribs as I whispered, “Yours.” The word felt foreign on my lips, yet it was the truth, raw and unfiltered. His hands slid down, cupping my ass, lifting me against him, and I felt the full length of him, hard and insistent, pressing into my core. I gasped, my nails digging into his shoulders as he ground against me, his lips finding mine again, devouring me with a hunger that left me breathless.
But as our intimacy deepened, a chill crept into the air, unwelcome and unnatural. The shadows around us seemed to shift, as if alive, and a whisper echoed in the dark, cold and malicious. My body stiffened, my senses on high alert, and I pulled back, my eyes locking onto Kaelen’s. His glowing red gaze met mine, his expression a mix of confusion and concern, as if he too felt the intrusion of the Thorn Wraith’s presence.
“We’re not alone,” I whispered, my voice barely audible over the pounding of my heart. His hands stilled, his body tensing as he followed my gaze to the shadows behind me. The air grew heavier, the chill seeping into my bones, and I felt the Wraith’s presence like a knife at my back, its malice palpable, a dark **** seeking to exploit our vulnerability, to tear apart the fragile bond we’d begun to forge.
Kaelen’s arms wrapped around me, pulling me close, his body a shield against the encroaching darkness. “It won’t touch you,” he growled, his voice a promise and a threat. But I could feel the Wraith’s hunger, its desire to corrupt, to destroy. My fear mingled with my desire, a tangled knot in my chest, and I clung to him, my trust in him the only anchor in the storm.
“Kaelen,” I breathed, my voice shaking. “It’s here. It’s always here, waiting for us to let our guard down.” His grip tightened, his lips brushing my forehead, and for a moment, the world narrowed to just the two of us, our hearts beating in unison. But the Wraith’s presence loomed, a constant reminder of the danger that surrounded us, the darkness that sought to consume us both.
His hands moved to my wrists, guiding them above my head, pressing them into the cold stone. “Let me,” he commanded, his voice firm yet laced with tenderness. I nodded, my breath coming in short gasps as he stepped back, his eyes raking over me with a hunger that made my skin flush. He reached into his tunic, pulling out a length of silk rope, and my heart raced as he approached, his movements deliberate, calculated.
“Trust me,” he repeated, his voice a low whisper as he began to bind my wrists, the silk tight but not painful, a symbol of his control, his dominance. I shivered, my body thrumming with anticipation as he stepped closer, his lips brushing my ear. “You’re safe with me, Liora. Always.”
His hands slid down my body, his touch firm yet reverent, as if he were mapping every curve, every dip, committing me to memory. He dipped his head, his lips trailing down my neck, his teeth nipping at my skin, sending jolts of pleasure through me. I moaned, my head falling back, my bound wrists pulling against the rope, a helpless gesture that only heightened my arousal.
“Please,” I whispered, my voice thick with need. “Kaelen, I—”
His lips silenced me, his kiss fierce and demanding, his tongue tangling with mine as his hands gripped my thighs, lifting me, pressing me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist, my dress hitching up as my core ached, throbbing with a need I could no longer deny. He growled against my lips, his hands sliding between us, his fingers tracing the dampness forming on my underwear, teasing me, torturing me with his slow, deliberate touch.
“So wet for me,” he murmured, his voice a dark purr. “You’re mine, Liora. All mine.”
He quickly removed my underwear and his fingers slipped into my inside me. I gasped, my body arching against him, my hips rocking into his touch. He thrust his fingers deep, curling them just right, and I cried out, my head spinning with the intensity of it all. But even as pleasure coiled tight within me, the chill remained, the Wraith’s presence a shadow at the edge of my awareness, a reminder of the danger that lurked just beyond our stolen moment.
“Kaelen,” I panted, my voice ****. “I can’t—I can’t lose you.”
He stilled, his eyes searching mine, his expression raw with emotion. “You won’t,” he vowed, his voice steady despite the tremor in his hands. “I’m here. I’m with you.”
His lips found mine again, his kiss deep and ****, as if he were trying to pour every unspoken word, every fear, every desire into that single moment. His fingers moved faster, his touch relentless, and I felt the tension building, a tight coil in my core, ready to snap.
“Come for me,” he commanded, his voice a low growl. “Let go, Liora. Only me.”
I shattered, my body convulsing around his fingers, my cries echoing off the stone walls. My name on his lips was a mantra, a claim, as he held me through the storm, his body a steady anchor in the chaos of my release.
But as my breath slowed, as my heart began to steady, the chill returned, the Wraith’s presence creeping closer, its malice a poison in the air. I pulled away, my eyes glistening with tears, my body trembling with the weight of what we’d shared and the danger that now felt closer than ever.
Kaelen watched me, his expression a mix of love and unease, the moment lingering like a question mark in the silence. The shadows whispered, the chill deepened, but I held onto him, my trust a beacon in the darkness, as we prepared to face whatever came next.
