Fire reborn

You stumble as you run, the ground bouncing beneath your feet, but your eyes remain fixed upon the hospital building. A strange light emanates from every window, a flickering orange, mixed with streaks of black, somehow. Waves of heat and cold radiate outward, and a strong wind forces you back as you approach.

Despite your best efforts, you can’t get any closer. Looking around, it seems everyone has come out to see what’s going on, though no one can approach even as far as you have. However, before anyone can ask what’s happening, a column of fire bursts through the roof of the building.

The heat is intense, forcing you back a step. The flaming spire is shot through with streaks of black, and the heat fades, replaced with icy cold. Then, as suddenly as it started, the column vanishes. Looking up, you see a streak of colors descending, coming straight for you. You feel frozen in place, simply watching as a comet of black and orange descends, slamming into the ground not five feet from you, the force of impact driving you back another step. The flicker of light and dark slowly fades, seemingly drawn into a figure in the center.

As the light is drawn in, you begin to see what the source of all this is. Or rather, who it is.

You stare as you see a woman, strange and beautiful. Her hair seems to be black on the outside, with orange beneath. In her outstretched hand she holds a swirling ball of black and orange energy, which vanishes as she closes her hand. She’s wearing an elaborate black and gold dress, low cut to emphasize her big breasts, which heave as she breathes. Forcing your eyes up, you see her smile, revealing her fanged teeth, and she licks her lips with an orange tongue. What really stops you short, though, is her eyes. All black save for glowing orange irises, it feels like they’re pulling you in.

You get the impression that this beautiful woman is also dangerous, but then she giggles. Following that with a wink, she speaks, in a voice you recognize instantly.

“Sorry about the dramatic entrance! Did you miss me, my bondmate?”

Immediately, you leap forward and grab her in a hug, a happy cry leaving your lips.

“Alex!!”

She giggles again, embracing you. “I’ll take that as a yes. You like my new look?”

You give her a squeeze before letting go and looking her over again. “It’s…impressive.”

Alex looks down at herself. With a laugh, she grabs her breasts. “Remind me to thank Samus for these!”

Before you can answer, the girls all come rushing over, and Alex is practically buried in hugs. The relief and happiness is infectious, and soon everyone is smiling. Finally, everyone backs off, leaving the newly reborn fire spirit a bit more disheveled, but smiling broadly. Stepping in close, she gives you a kiss, and holds your hand.

“I’ll thank you more properly later, my bondmate…”
