Finds Visual Range

''Shit'' He said to himself, thinking of just how he could get visual range of the girl again, maybe the back alley of the store? No, he'd have to go out there in the heat, something which still terrified him slightly.

He could see the bathroom door she had disappeared behind and he could see a little bit of daylight shining under it, but there were two problems in his way. He didn't know if that would count as visual range and there was no way he was going to be able to get that close to the bathrooms without the guy at the counter seeing him.

''Excuse me, are you okay?'' Zack asked, slightly concerned with the way this unkempt looking customer was staring at the bathroom door his co-worker had just run off behind.

''Yeah, um. Fine, great...'' John didn't know where to look as he struggled awkwardly to respond

Zack nodded slowly, looking between John and the door he had been staring at a moment ago

''Yeah, sir, you need to leave''

A pang of worry hit John just then, he knew the guy was right, John did have to leave, but there was no way he could.

''It's too hot out there, it's dangerous'' John answered, with honest fear as he remembered what the girl had said a short while ago.

''Yeah, drink some water and you'll be fine. It's not dangerous. C'mon buddy'' Zack walked up and placed a hand on John's shoulder walking him out of the store.

John sighed in relief, glad that the stock boy had been right and it had cooled down since the group of college students had walked into the store, otherwise he might be in trouble.

But, now that he was out, he had another thing to concern himself with, checking the back alley to see if he could get visual range.

Fortunately for him, there did seem to be windows on the back of the building, unfortunately, they were all very small and well above head height. But he did have an idea.

He briskly walked to a sellers cart across the road, picking up a cheap selfie stick for five bucks and attaching his phone to it.

Lining up with a window, he tapped ''Generate Statement'' and then quickly held the phone up level with the window, slumping his shoulders as he realised he was getting the same message as before

''Target must be within visual range in order to be selected. Please select new target''

Still, he tried the next window, but got the same result. So, he moved onto another window, this one aligned with a dumpster which allowed him to stand a little higher off the ground and actually hold the phone above the window.

Seeing something other than the error message come up, he quickly pulled his phone back down, almost cheering as he saw that he got the right result, well maybe not the right result, but he got a result.
