Finding out more about the ninja

The next morning, you head into the Tribune's offices groggily and it takes you 2 cups of coffee to fully wake up. Luckily, you're pretty much untouchable at the paper and nobody comes to disturb you. In fact, you haven't seen Laura or Amanda all morning, and it's almost lunchtime already.

You look at your notepad where you had scribbled down some ideas for your next story, but none are very good. If it weren't for your magic rings, you probably would have already fizzled out as a reporter. Massaging your temples, you recall last night and the great time you had at the secret costume party you had stumbled upon. That's when you remembered the ninja, Carmen Riley. Sure, she had a hot body and was tremendous at sex, but you were no stranger to that, not anymore since coming into possession of the magic rings.

It doesn't take long for you to find multiple eyewitness reports of a ninja-like figure fighting crime in New York City over the past year. Some describe the ninja as a female, while others say it's a male with bulging arms or a shadow that is able to take physical form. Most of the incidents are much like what you saw yesterday, isolated bad guys in a dark alley.

Next, you look up Carmen Riley. It's easy to find her information online, and she indeed works for Riley Industries as their Vice President for Philanthropic Programs. She's the same age as you and the title seems outsized, until you realize that she is the only daughter of the founder and CEO of Riley Industries, Bruno Riley. While he never remarried nor had other children, the tabloids are full of stories and pictures of him with supermodels, actresses, and unbelievably beautiful women. You guess immense wealth is just as good as magic.

Looking further into her background, you see that Carmen is an only child and her mother died in labor, while her father was too busy building his empire to spend any meaningful time with her. That resulted in private schools and academies, where it looks like she took an interest in martial arts of all kinds. There are pictures online of her online at an elementary school judo competition and a high school tae kwon do meet. After college, she even spent a year in Japan, where you assumed she picked up her ninja skills and decided to bring them back to New York to apply practically.
