Finding friends?

I looked around for anything immediately available to eat like fruits or berries but didn’t find any that weren’t labeled toxic. I could hear birds chirping but figured they’d probably get away. I bent down low some sort of impulse had me creeping through the forest on my hands and feet like a strange dog… well wolf I guess. I peaked threw a bush to my delight I noticed a squirrel with its back to me about 30 feat away from me I just needed to get a bit closer and I’d have food. It was kind of exciting sneaking up on the squirrel as in buried a nut for winter. Unfortunately a bird flew over and spooked in and it ran up a tree when I was about 10 feet away. Looking up to curse the bird I noticed it was a large hawk and found myself feeling rather small myself. I decided to keep to cover under the trees and fallow my nose to try and find prey. For what felt like forever I fought with my instincts screaming at me to run. I couldn’t imagine why anything should make me so afraid it wasn’t like I couldn’t defend myself or run away if it was hostile so why fear. Finally curiosity won out and I fallowed my nose until I ended up walking up to the edge of a camp I crouched low just outside the camp hidden in the bushes when I noticed a goblin casting some short of magic and instantly there was a bing again and the voice form before said

“Shadow element contact made would you like to make this element your element type? Say yes if you do say no if not

New abilities acquired

Shadow manipulation

Manipulate the shadows around you to restrain, attack or distract others the damage is low but scales with your dark magic powers

Shadow jump

Pass through shadows to a location within sight but you cannot do so after having attacked another creature the distance you can teleport scales with your dark magic power

Shadow barrage

Make a number of heavy bark spheres. These spheres each fly forth and strike targets of your choice doing moderate bark damage

Why did I get the shadow element… is that goblin casting shadow magic… ok I was summoned to this world by the dark gods so I guess these goblins and orcs are to be my minions? That seems strange but what the hell time to take over the world

I stood up and walker into the camp saying in a loud voice

The dark gods have send me to be there champion and to lead you to victory over the races of the light god. We will make this land a fortress from which we will send forth an endless wave or soldiers to crush the races of the light….

The goblins and orcs looked confused at one another for a bit until one of the orcs looked to a goblin and said

The goblin smacked the orc in the shin with a club and pointed at me and said

The only thing I could think was “great they didn’t understand a word I said.”

The goblin I had seen casting shadow magic walked up to me and looked me up and down then said

Ogy bolly dard

I thought I may have recognized that last word like in meant slow or maybe dum? Rood much

The goblin then in one fast motion swung his staff at me hitting me in the head hard with it and instantly my vision blurred the last thing I remember was saying

Why???

Then the world faded to black
