Find somewhere to hide

Leanne got out of there as quickly as she could without making too much noise. She found herself back down a floor as she looked for a safe place to hide. She didn’t want to risk going back to the room with her clothes as she might have some explaining to do and she had no idea who she might face in there or whose side they’d be on.

Rushing down the hallway Leanne found a door and flung it open. She stepped inside to find herself in a small cupboard rather than a bedroom and stood inspecting it for a moment.

However, before she could decide whether to fully commit to hiding in the cupboard she felt a hard shove from behind that sent her flying forwards. The door was then slammed shut and she heard the sound of a key turning as it was locked with her trapped on the inside.

In a panic Leanne frantically tugged on the handle but it was no use. The door was stuck fast and wouldn't move an inch. She began banging on the wooden frame. Yelling to be released.

"Hey! Let me out of here!" But there was no reaction from outside. Who would even lock her in there? She feared it was the sinister clown she’d seen originally and dreaded to think what he planned to do with her in there.

Seeing as escape was impossible at this time and with her throat hurting from the yelling Leanne relaxed a little and inspected her new surroundings. The room was small with some storage shelves and an array of boxes. Just as she was wondering if there was anything she could use to aid her exit she heard a fearful scream from outside.

Leanne froze in position, listening carefully. Had she imagined it? There was only silence. And then it happened again, this time closer. Possibly from the next room. Leanne had no idea what was going on out there, but this definitely wasn't the time to be trapped in a cupboard.

She looked again at her surroundings. There had to be something she could use to escape. Then again, maybe she was safer in there than in the middle of whatever was happening out there.
