Find a food/supply cache

It was decided that if he didn't find any food/supplies soon, he would soon be too weak to either fight off any of the hunters or even worse too weak to think straight leading him to poor decisions.

John continued a slower, but less cautious approach towards any sort of indicators for food/supply caches. With his luck, after 30 minutes of searching he spotted a clearing in the distance with what seemed to be crates of supplies. As he came closer, his initial spotting was confirmed as he saw a few crates which were likely to contain food and supplies for him to continue in the contest.

It was quiet as he waited among the edge of the grassy overgrowth, and he couldn't hear anything but the island breeze and some chirping birds. Despite this, he know that there had to be other hunters around already waiting for some easy prey to go for the caches. On the other hand, maybe paranoia got the best of him and he had reached an area of the island that had not been touched by hunters and it was better to quickly dash in and grab supplies than waste time and allow hunters to catch up.
