Find a bar

With the sun going down, most outdoor activities were out of the question. Might as well celebrate your extended vacation with a drink. You sit down on the couch, putting the brochure aside, and turn on the TV.

"RESORT INFORMATION SYSTEM" flashes on the screen before the TV speaks to you. "Would you like to browse activities and services, or are you looking for something specific?"

The system speaks softly, with an accent you associate with the upper classes of society. You recognize the program; a fairly high-end, but not uncommon, virtual intelligence. Not sentient, but as close as you could get. Also, conveniently, responds to voice commands.

"I'd like to find a bar," you blurt out. The screen flashes before showing a three-dimensional map of the resort. A blue light flashes with your location before multiple yellow lights appear indicating available bars. And oh boy does this place have a lot of bars.

As you search through them, you find a lot of niche themes. Your curiosity wanders over to the sexual wing of the resort. Nude bars, BDSM bars, you keep looking.

Snapping out of it, you swipe back to the central tower your room is in and start looking for which bars are close. You find one labeled a "lounge" just a few floors up. You turn off the TV and head out.

You arrive at the bar. Brown hardwood covers the floor and leads all the way out past where the wall should be, out onto a deck overlooking the ocean. You spot a hot tub on the deck and wonder if you shouldn't have come down in a bathing suit. The bar itself is rather oblong shaped in the center of the room, while comfortable looking seating is scattered around it. You also wonder if you should have brought a book. But then again, meeting new people is half the fun of a place like this, and in the back of your mind, you can't help but fantasize about sparking some kind of whirlwind romance with someone here and having a really unforgettable thirty day vacation.

You head to the bar to order a drink. A caesar. Easy. Casual. You hope it'll give you an approachable vibe. Now for someone to talk to.

You immediately eye up the two stunning women in the hot tub out on the deck. They look like they're in their late twenties and are enjoying a conversation between them. Easily the most physically alluring option, but without a swimsuit, approaching them might come across as a little awkward.

An older gentleman lounges close to the entrance. Mid-forties, wearing a buisness-casual, dress pants/shirt kind of outfit. Despite the attire, he looks quite comfortable with his feet up, his shirt sleeves rolled up past his forearms, and his shirt unbuttoned one button further down than would be acceptable in a workplace. His eyes are fixated on a book, only breaking concentration slightly to clumsily reach for his glass. Whiskey, neat. Of course.

Of course, one could always chat up the bartender. You look over at the woman who just handed you your drink. She washes dishes, expressionless. Her tank top gives you a clear look at her arms; tattooed and with just enough muscle to wonder if she could take you down if she wanted. Probably, you figure. You find her hard to place an age on. She looks fairly young, but her face has seen a few things. Or maybe you're just romanticizing the bartender. Who knows unless you talk to her. Either way, she's hard to get a read on.
