The conclusion of File #2.
File #2 Ending 4.1 - The days may continue
You decided to stay in this town with Fran as long as possible until you found a way to fully cure your infection. Since you wouldn't be back for a very long time, you called a few business friends in Raven Harbour and asked them to help look after your agency. It seemed that your career was to be put on hold indefinitely.
The town's people recovered quickly from that series of horrifying events - the disappearance of the mayor and his wife, the attack on the police station, the mysterious deaths of the Smith family, and the burning down of their mansion. They had seen worse, as Nathan said.
Fran had applied for a job as a bartender at the town's bar, the Wolf Dreamer, and you were thinking of finding yourself a more proper job. You had no solid idea at first, but the turning point came a week later when Cole told you that there was once again an anonymous letter for you. This time, you recognized the handwriting at once.
Mr. Wilson,
I've heard what happened, and I've learned you're staying in town. I hope this will bring you peace and comfort when the future ahead seems uncertain.
Take care,
A friend
With the letter came a key. Given the sender's identity, it wasn't hard to guess what it was for. That night, you used it to open the front door of the G&M bookshop, and behind the counter, you found everything you needed.
You began to help run the bookshop several days later, and the town's people seemed happy that its legacy was continued. You turned the storage room on the second floor into your own room, and moved in with Fran. This might just be your ideal retirement life, if you weren't plagued by the lycanthropy infection.
You went to the clinic every now and then, and had Nathan run a blood test on you to keep your infection in check. With his help, at least you could get enough monkshood solution on a regular basis to suppress it. But it still had a limit.
When the urge came back, you didn't want to hurt other people, and Fran didn't want you to hurt yourself. Every time the beast awoke to the hunger, she would calm it down with her flesh. You didn't remember how many times you had fucked her, infected her, and cured her over the past month. She was covered in wounds, yet she never once complained to you.
You knew this couldn't last forever, and you knew she couldn't keep enduring it. But until that day came, she wouldn't give up on you, and you didn't want her to think that you'd given up on yourself.
The days continued. For now.
