Figure out an escape plan.

Niki, Eva, Amara. Lynx and Vivi. Rose and Mina. Mela is there too, as well as Alice and Queen Catherine II's cursed body. If you were to Bunny Hop, you would be moving eleven bodies at once, including yourself. If you were to divvy this up, you wouldn't be able to guarantee the precision required to warp directly back into this underground room again, let alone have the energy to make it back and forth multiple times. Both Bunny Hop and Kitty Sense are still two abilities you're getting used to using. You're still not even one hundred percent sure how you were able to learn them. Something about gaps in your custom glass automatically filling... It's still strange to you.

"There's a passage this way! What is this?" comes a voice.

Your eyes widen. "Damn. Did Faceless leave it open long enough for the guards to see?"

"We need to make a move now," Rose says. "Or we'll be stuck."

"Protecting the queen is our most important duty at the moment," Amara says. "We do not know how delicate her condition is."

"Take this," Niki says. To everyone's surprise, she has lifted the queen up and now has her in her arms. She's loosely garbed by a pure white nightgown, and she grumbles in her sleep as she's jostled. "Escape with her, and whenever you find your way back, we'll be ready to follow."

Whether you like it or not, the queen is dropped in your arms. "But--"

"We'll be fine!" she barks back. "It's just guards. Hurry up and warp home safely, and then you can worry about us."

"She's right," Vivi chimes in. "We can't risk being too rough with her as long as she's cursed." At the word rough, she looks to Niki with a furled brow.

You swallow hard. "Fine. All right. Hold your positions. Just keep the door closed and block it. We might be trapped, but we also have the advantage. I doubt anyone could knock that door down as long as Niki is holding the other side, unless they bring a battering ram all the way down here." Then you take a deep breath.

It's true. They will be fine. I can't think of them as hopeless anymore. Maybe in a lot of ways, but not in this way. Actually, I'm not worried at all. It's time to get Catherine to safety. Then, we can all finally relax again.

With a subtle squat, you prepare to jump, as if you're about to hurl both of you directly into the wall. However, you feel the power pulse through your body. Already, the world is stretching. As you leap off the ground, you pierce through the dizziness, and focus your mind on Castle Phoenix, which has become far more easy now. It's home after all. After everything warps around you, your feet touch ground, and you stand up straight once again with the queen in your arms.
