Fighting lizard men!

(A/N: This will be the chapter that introduces Sushie, who in canon is 10, but according to the wiki, does apparently be one of the women Touya marries. So she'll be aged up to 18, she's just going to be short.)

They reached the area to see armored men fighting against what looked like lizardmen monsters. "There they are!" Linze shouted, before casting a spell. "Firestorm!" she shouted, immolating several surprised monsters.

Touya jumped out of the carriage with Elize, both ready to fight. One lizradman ran at Touya, only for him to try his new spell, "Slip!" Immediately, the lizradman fell painfully on its tail, and Touya swung his blade, slaying it before it had a chance to get up. Elize and Yae were also in the thick of things, beating up, and cutting down lizardmen respectively.

Touya of course kept abusing the shit out of his new spell, covering Elize as she kept casting powerful spells and killing multiple monsters at a time. However, Touya quickly noticed something. "The enemy's numbers aren't decreasing! How?" he wondered.

"That man in the black robes!" Linze pointed as she looked around and spotted the culprit. "He's summoning them!"

Touya needed no further promoting. "Slip!" he shouted. The robed man ended up on his ass, and trying and failing to get back up. Yae moved in, and knocked the man out with the handle of her blade. With that, all the lizardmen disappeared, and the battle ended.

Of course, there was the aftermath to deal with. Of ten armed guards, seven had been killed. And furthermore... "Somebody, please help! Reim is dying!" one of the people they had saved was crying, a rather small girl, nobility if her attire and the fact she had guards was any indication, and she was crying as she laid over a man, who had been shot in the chest with an arrow.

"Linze, healing magic now!" Touya called.

"I... I don't think it will help..." Linze replied. "The arrow was broken off in him, and it will still be in his body if I heal him like that... Plus, a wound that severe..."
