Fight your way through the Dark Elves, until you reach Arin.

You know that the longer you wait, the tougher the front line that the Dark Elves are forming will be, and the more time their mages will have to open the Demonic gate for the succubus. So you direct your royal guard to form a shield wall wedge, and push through the line of Dark Elves. You move behind them, pushing the soldiers that lag behind back into the line, or safely move aside those that fall to the hail of crossbow bolts, or magic attacks from those mages that are not busy summoning the Demonic gate. The line begins to stall, as your guards fall one-by-one, and the remaining soldiers now tighten the line. It now looks like you won't be able to get to Arin, but then you hear the sounds of arrows flying, and the sounds of Dark Elven soldiers falling.

That puts you one-on-one with the matriarch, who starts to crack her bladewhip. You know that it's nothing like the fight with the succubus, plus who knows what kind of agility and magic the matriarch herself has, but you know you must try to buy the others time to assist. The fight with the matriarch is brutal, but it only becomes more brutal, as you see the matriarch's spokesperson cut down some of your guards. It's clear that the man must be the weapons master or warrior champion of the Dark Elven house, and it soon becomes a 2-on-1. But then you see a blast of magic go right at the mages, and the sound of your elite troops, "The King's Own", providing reinforcement.

Now you fight your way closer to where the mages, Zrixsya, and Arin are, just as the Demonic Gate begins to open. Obviously, the tall yet petite Arin is no match strength-wise for the succubus, but her increased struggle to break free is slowing Zrixsya down. You roll forward, moving underneath a strike from the matriarch, and charge at the succubus, putting your shield in front of you. The rush of adrenaline makes you oblivious to any hits you may have taken, as you put your full might into knocking them away from the opening gate. The mages now try to go after you, but you see them jerk, as they get pelted with arrows. You do your best to get up, barely managing to get your shield up to block the incoming attack from the weapons master. Being heavily engaged in battle with the male Dark Elf, you have no idea if Arin was able to get away, or if she's trying to find a weapon to defend herself, or she got struck down. Then you hear the matriarch shout something in Drowish, but it's clear that they're now seeking to get the High Elf pushed into the gate, or killed. Of course, all of that means nothing until you deal with the Dark Elf first. Without a doubt, it's a tough battle for you, but you find just enough of an opening to thrust your longsword deep into the Dark Elf's lower gut. Quickly, you pull it out, then give the gutted man a few more killing blows. When the spokesman falls, you quickly assess the situation. A warmth of healing energy engulfs you, as you see Vessa in the distance with other mages, casting healing spells that goes over the area. You see Cielina over where Zrixsya was taken out, pulling her flamberge out of the succubus' side. More importantly, you see Arin, sooted in dirt and blood, with a saber taken from a slain Dark Elf. Then you turn to see the matriarch run towards the Demonic Gate, but Vessa manages to dispel it before she can dive through it. When the matriarch tries to get up, you watch as Devona walk over, and deliver a knockout punch right to her face. All of a sudden, you see Arin run over to you, giving you a tight hug, as she begins to cry on your shoulder.
