Fight those criminals

Even though your foes seem rather silly, you decide not to lower your guard and immediately get into position.

With a flash of green light, you summon your Bulbasaur sword.

"I think the introductions are over. Now it's time for the execution" Jessie says as the three women finally stop posing and prepare for battle.

"Midori, get Rash out of here. We'll cover you" you order.

Midori nods and quickly lifts Rash. The rattata musu is small and skinny enough to be carried without much effort.

She immediately dashes toward the refuge to leave her somewhere safe, but the moment she separates from the group, your enemies make their move.

Kumo waves one hand and releases a long trail of green gas between you and Midori. A spark of magic follows a second later.

The gas ignites and a wall of flames erupts, cutting Midori off from the rest of you.

""Dammit! Watch out, Midori!" you shout.

"Prepare to die, twerp! Poison Stings!" Jessie yells.

She thrusts her lance forward and a barrage of poisonous darts shoots toward you.

You and Marine both dodge, but in opposite directions.

Kumo immediately exploits the opening, creating another trail of gas and igniting it. A second wall of flames rises between you and Marine.

In an instant, all three of you are separated.

Now only Jessie stands in front of you.

"So that's how you want to play? Separate me from my girls?" you say.

"Exactly. This way we can kill you one by one. Ready to surrender and die?" Jessie smirks.

"Never." You charge.

Your sword comes down in a powerful diagonal slash, but Jessie intercepts it with the shaft of her lance.

The impact echoes through the square.

You immediately follow with another strike, then another, forcing her backwards.

Jessie is fast.

Rather than meeting your strength head-on, she constantly redirects your attacks with precise movements. Her lance spins around her body like an extension of her arms, deflecting your blows and occasionally darting forward to **** you on the defensive.

You swing horizontally.

She ducks.

The lance's butt end immediately shoots toward your ribs.

You twist away just in time.

SShe spins again and sweeps at your legs.

You jump over the attack and retaliate with a downward slash powerful enough to crack the ground where she is standing a second earlier.

"Damn, you're strong!" Jessie exclaims as she leaps back.

"And you're annoying," you reply.

You press forward again.

The fight becomes a dance of power against technique.

Your strikes carry enough **** to break stone, while Jessie relies on speed, precision, and constant movement.

Neither side manages to gain a decisive advantage.

Realizing that a direct approach isn't working, you switch weapons.

The Bulbasaur sword vanishes and Marine's weapon appears in your hands.

Shield and water revolver.

The moment you do, you feel Jessie channel mana into her lance.

You immediately raise the revolver and fire several water bullets.

The projectiles rush toward her.

"Poison Jab!"

Purple energy envelops her weapon.

Suddenly she bursts forward with incredible speed.

The lance shatters the incoming water shots before they can reach her.

In only a second she is already in front of you.

Your eyes widen.

A barrage of attacks assaults you from every angle.

You raise your shield and block most of them, but Jessie's speed is frightening.

One thrust slips past your defenses.

The poisoned tip slices across your arm.

You grunt in pain.

Jessie immediately jumps back.

"Phew... hitting you was harder than I thought. But finally my poison will take effect."

"You really think..." you growl.

Pain spreads through your body.

The poisonous mana quickly enters your system.

Your muscles weaken.

Your knees hit the ground.

"Maybe not enough to kill you immediately," Jessie says, pointing her lance at you, "but it'll slow you down enough for me to finish the job."

You smirk.

"In the end... I always need you to cover my back."

The Squirtle weapon disappears.

A second later the Bulbasaur sword returns to your hand.

Warm green energy spread through your body, the power of the weapon increase your resistance to poison, making it become easier to endure.

You slowly stand back up.

Jessie's confident expression falters.

"Let's see if what you said is true."

Elsewhere, Marine stares at the wall of flames separating her from you.

Then she hears a familiar giggle.

"Ih ih ih... you're all alone now, little turtle."

Kumo floats down from the sky, grinning.

"D-Don't think the great Marine can't kick your ass by herself!" Marine declares, even if her voice trembles slightly.

"Aww, look at you. A scared little musu that wandered into a wolf's den. Prepare to be smoked."

Kumo waves her hand.

A cloud of toxic gas shoots toward Marine.

Marine immediately rolls aside.

The poisonous cloud misses her by inches.

As soon as she regains her footing, she retaliates with several Water Guns.

Most miss.

One connects.

The water blast strikes Kumo's partially gaseous body.

"Agh! You bitch!"

Kumo quickly hides behind the floating rock she carries around.

"Prepare for a rain of sludge!"

Several toxic spheres form around her.

Marine immediately starts running.

The balls of sludge crash into the ground around her, exploding and leaving pools of poisonous waste behind.

Marine narrowly avoids one. And the another.

Then a third that grazes her shoulder.

"Damn it!"

Unfortunately, while focusing on dodging, Marine fails to notice something.

Kumo gradually maneuvers herself directly above her.

Marine stops.

Only then does she realize her mistake.

"Ih ih ih... you're so dumb."

Kumo spreads both arms.

A massive amount of green gas pours downward.

Marine immediately starts coughing.

The cloud swallows her completely.

"Hope you like all that smog... now bye-bye."

Kumo creates a tiny flame between her fingers.

Then she drops it.

The gas ignites instantly, generating a small expotion that cosumes the area around Marine.

Meanwhile, Midori ignores the flames separating her from the others and rushes toward Rash's refuge.

After carefully placing the injured girl down, she hears a voice.

"You're cute, thinking about helping that useless girl..."

Midori immediately looks around.

The voice belongs to Kitty, but she can't see her anywhere.

"You really are cruel toward someone who was helping you."

"What can I say? We do what we need to do."

Suddenly a shadow moves and before Midori can react, Kitty lunges out of the darkness.

Sharp claws cut across Midori's arm.

Midori hisses in pain and retaliates with Razor Leaves.

The attack shreds the nearby walls.

Kitty is already gone.

"Too slow, planty. You can't catch a kitty cat like that."

Midori grits her teeth.

Then another attack comes.

Kitty appears behind her.

A second wound opens on Midori's shoulder.

She spins around and launches a vine.... but nothing.

The meowth girl has already disappeared again.

Another shadow. Another attack.

This time Kitty's claws scrape across Midori's side.

"Damn it!" Midori fires another barrage of Razor Leaves.

The leaves slice through boxes and debris, but fail to hit their target.

Kitty moves like a ghost through the darkness.

Every few seconds she appears from another angle, delivers a quick strike, then vanishes again.

As the battle continues, Midori accumulates numerous cuts across her arms and body.

She is breathing heavily.

Kitty emerges from a rooftop and sits casually on its edge.

"Ready to surrender? Personally, I don't like killing people. You can just wait for my friends to finish with yours."

Midori pants. Green energy begins flowing through her body.

The cuts slowly start closing.

"Don't think... I'll go down... that easily."

The healing magic restores part of her strength.

Kitty clicks her tongue.

"Oh come on, that's cheating."

Midori stands up straight and tightens her fists.

"Let's see if you can do more, you cat bitch!"

"What a nuisance..." Kitty sighs. "I like battles that end quickly."
