Fight them

The only way you are going to survive is actually fighting the god damn goblins. After all, you imagine they aren’t that tough. You grab one sword and look at Alfred.

-We’ve got to fight.- You smile, trying to calm him down. –Are you ready?- With both hands and a confident look, you wield the sword and jump off the carriage, sinking the sword into the ground, drifting as you stop. This fall makes minor wounds on your knees, but nothing to worry about.

You look at the creatures with angry eyes, as you adopt a defense position with the sword. You hear the carriage stop and then move again. Then you see Alfred by your side, in defense position. At least he’s not a coward. You smile and let the goblins come for the both of you.

The screaming approaches you as you gain strength for your first swing. You slash the side of the wolf, making the goblin fall to the ground, face first. You expect Alfred to end him. You walk towards them, making the same moves. They don’t seem to learn. A bit later, they are all in the ground, wielding their clubs, and screaming in rage because you killed their mounts. Three of them attack with strength at you, and the other three attack Alfred. They are fast, but their attacks mean nothing to you, blocking them with ease.

But then… -Ah!- You scream as you feel pain on your leg, making you fall to your knees. You see ten goblins go for Alfred. –WATCH OUT, ALFRED!- He reacts too late, and the goblins attack him. –ALFHMFPH!- They put a rag in your mouth. Your eyes begin to blur, they’ve put something on it.

You pass out.
