Let’s take a deeper look into...
Fey Court - Treemen Glade-Clans
More detailed history:
The enigmatic Treemen, the first and last line of defense of the Great Glades housing the bulk of the Fey Court. The Treemen do not speak much of their history to anyone, including their own allies. Their allies do not pry, for their respect of the old guardians run deep and unwavering. The Treemen fight to protect them, so they have no reason to question anything about them.
For as long as there have been Fey souls, the possibility of a Treeman to be born have been there. For there to be a Treeman, a creature of the Fey must die by a tree and have died in the defense of their homes. Their souls, still guided by their desire to defend their beloved homes, will inhabit the nearest tree and give life to the Fey once more. No other way can a Treeman be born, but do not be doubt female fey can join these ranks. Female Fey have died and became Treemen, but once becoming one the concepts of sex and gender is tossed away. Thus, all Treemen are brothers in arms.
A Treeman can range from the size of a human, to the size of a guard tower, or even bigger. It all depends on the tree that the soul has inhabited, the power behind that soul, and how long the Treeman survives. The first of these Treemen was Thal'roon, and he was quite powerful. Upon his ****, his power gave birth to the Great Glades and his skeleton became the World Tree, Thal'remar. The oak so enormous that its canopy is barely visible through the clouds, and its trunk so huge it takes days just to walk completely around it.
Thal'roon was the first "Aged One", a leader of the Treemen. And, being an oak, he was a great and hardy warrior that ought to defend his brothers from the destructive forces that surrounded them. Thanks to the scattered nature of the Fey, the Treemen did not have a home to call their own and defend themselves dependantly with. Therefore, the Treemen were nomadic...using the powers of Thal'roon and wisemen to find brothers who were lost and ****.
For thousands of years, the Treemen had scoured all of Aesyr...doing whatever they can to find a permenant home and figure out how to draw their brothers to them. Many had died or been destroyed during this quest, but Thal'roon endured. He had become more powerful as the years gone by. And for every year, he had lost more and more of his brothers. The only thing that kept him going was saving more than those that died and the hope for a home.
Towards the end of this journey, they had found an area that was where a swamp was fading out into a forest. It had most of everything that they need. Only, there was one problem. An ancient evil was housed here, Dark Fey. These vile creatures were anti-thetical to regular Fey...only want for **** and destruction. And this area was infested with the blight. It was then that Thal'roon made an important decision, this land would be for his brothers...as soon as they had cleansed it of the monsters.
Yet another thousand years had went by as the Treemen and the Dark Fey fought at a near stalemate. The destructive lust of the Dark Fey unable to combat the tenacious and sturdy will of the Treemen. However, even this had to come to an end. Thal'roon was fighting against the king of Dark Fey, who had decided to take himself out of hiding. The king was an unsavory character who did not fight fair, and had stabbed Thal'roon with a blazing sword of dark crystal. Even the mighty Thal'roon could not survive the injury, thus he attempted to take the Dark Fey out with him.
His body exploded as he sacrificed his own life. Luckily, his brethren and the land was not destroyed by this blast...as it only harmed the Dark Fey tainting this area. Mourning for the lost of their leader and brother, the surviving Treemen took his body and buried his roots in the location he always promised he would plant his roots in his inspirational speeches. Already his corpse was large and took several Treemen to hoist up and have it take root. These Treemen had no idea what they were about to cause.
The next day, afrer the Treemen were scouting their new home...something peculair had happened. They had noticed that the land itself was shifting and changing. The trees were moving, water was forming where there wasn't any, hills were smoothing over. They were still in mourning but eager for their home, so no one was in the right state of mind to figure out what was happening. But over time, something else had began to happen.
Not only was the land reshaping itself...it was doing so around Thal'roon's planted corpse. And his corpse was not staying still. It had posed itself, its arms outstretched and his face looking to the heavens. More branches were sprouting from his sides, and his bulk was growing. Within a month, the corpse was gigantic and the land was drastically different.
Eventually, it had came to what it appeared in the modern day. A tree taller than the mountains and five Glades that surrounded it. These Glades in of themselves a mixture of forest, jungle, and swamp that proved to be perfect homes for the Treemen.
Ever sine then, the Treemen had called these glades their home, and named Thal'roon's corpose "Thal'remar". Other people would call it the World Tree, but the Treemen will remember it as their former brother. Another thing to take note, that it seems all creatures of the Fey know where Thal'remar is located, seemingly from birth. Stories of it spread throughout the wilds and it eventually trickled into non-Fey communities. And when a new Treeman is born, they have an almost irresistable temptation to visit it...and become one with his brothers.

The Treemen Clans and the Glades:
The Treemen Glade-Clans are divided by what type of tree they are. This tree determines their powers, abilities, role in Treeman society, as well as their preference for a Glade. While they are no longer the main guardians of the Glades or the Fey anymore, that position usurped by the Elves, their duty to guard their home is resolute and impossible to get rid of. They very rarely leave their homes, but certain circumstances compels them to leave.
The Oak Clan - Populated by Treemen that inhabit great and mighty tress that are the prized warriors and defenders of the Treemen. They inhabit the east and north glades, the ones closest to most of the dangers of the outside world. Oaks, Rowans, and Alders make up the Oak Clan. These mighty trees respect and idolize Thal'roon and wish to accomplish great deeds to make them worthy of him.
The Cypress Clan - A clan of Treemen that inhabit slender and shifty trees that are not much good in a fight, but will strike fear and terror in any intruder. They make their home in the west and south glades, farthest from the action but still have their long reaches in them. Cypresses, Ivys, and Hawthorns make up the Cypress Clan. They find the upfront nature of warfare to be too risky and ineffective, finding the shadows and night to be more their style...using subversion to overcome their enemies.
The Elder Clan - A council-like clan of Treemen that inhabit aged and brittle trees that are the mystics and thinkers of the Treemen. The central glade that circle around Thal'remar is the home for them, as they feel a strong and powerful connection to the great tree and wish to be by it at all times. Elders, Aspens, and Ashes make up the Elder Clan. If you need sage advice, a counsel, or need a bit of ancient Fey magic, the Elder Clan are available to grant you their boon.
The West Glade: This glade is closest to the westward ocean, and has a river that run from it and through the glade to both north and south through a fork. It is mostly like a jungle with cliff tops and a large lake. For the Fey that need a more tropical and oceanic lifestyle, this is the glade for them.
The South Glade: A combination of swamp and jungle. There was once hard dirt here but the shifting of the land caused more moisture to come, turning the ground muddy. Over time, the mud became flooded and trees began to encrouch upon it. Now it is a swampy paradise for those that need such things.
The North Glade: A glade best for those who need a mixture of swamp and forest. It is a less dense swamp that has more marshes and floodplains with some foliage. It is more open aired and easier to swim through. Thus it is more of a home for those that prefer the water in a swamp.
The East Glade: Large and overpowering forests populated by large trees. It is easier to navigate but it is dotted with sizable lakes that came up to the surface from underground reservoirs. There is heeavy underbrushes though, offering plenty of places to hide but makes traversing difficult.
The Central Glade: A very special and mystical glade that wraps around the World Tree. The base of it decorated with its mighty roots and several shrines comprised of standing stones. Many Fey make their homes here to learn from the Elder Clan and grow their power at the stones.

Pantheon:
The Treemen only have one god, which is a unique stance with the other races.
Thal'roon - The first Treeman to ever come into existance, also known as "The Watcher of the Glades" and "He Who is the Glades". He was the first Treeman to ever be born, made by the soul of the first creature of the Fey to have died and inhabited a strong oak tree. Ever since, he has lead his brethren and searched for a home to call their own. Then, when battling a **** of destruction, he became the first Treeman to die in search of a home. His corpse gave birth to a mighty tree, his power so great as to cleanse the earth around him. His skeleton is the World Tree, or Thal'remar as it is referred to. His spirit is said to reside in the tree still, guarding his brothers' new home and feeds the Glades life.
