Kim felt pretty haggard when all was said and done. It didn’t take long to explain what had happened (leaving out, of course, the part in the boutique with Dakota) and showing the others her newly-upgraded transformation.

“…So you can see, I’m not a fan,” she said, wearing an expression that looked as tired as she felt. She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “I wanted to upgrade that one so I could see how it worked, since I wanted a preview before next round. You know, in case I wanted to upgrade that transformation myself. But, well…”

“I get where you’re coming from, but wouldn’t it have been better to test out an upgrade to a sexy transformation?” Carly pointed out, stroking her chin thoughtfully. “I mean, tonight is your night with Nick, after all. That’s what I would have done in your shoes.”

Kim glared daggers at her, which Carly let wash over her like the waves licking up against their feet.

“That’s what I tried to tell her!” Sylvia said, nodding. “But she was very persuasive.”

“This suuuuuuuucks!” Kim groaned. “You guys get all kinds of cool temporary upgrades, and I’m stuck with this one!? I’m like a dumping ground for all the stuff people don’t want!”

Nick frowned. He could understand Kim’s concern with her upgrade. But before he could say something in support, Dani spoke up.

“Huh…” The tomboy looked curiously at Kim, wearing a contemplative expression on her face.

Kim jumped. She knew that Dani had a bunch of transformations that she was itching to get rid of. But no way she’d actually go through with it, right?! They were friends!

“That’s a really interesting transformation, Kim,” Dani said sympathetically. Her face softened. “I know I wouldn’t want to get stuck with an upgrade like that.”

“How does it work though?” Marley asked curiously. Unlike Kim, she wasn’t convinced that this was such a bad thing. “Going off the wording, can you even say no?”

“That’s the worst part!” Kim groaned, slumping her shoulders. “I can’t! I’m stuck with whatever they give me!”

“Kim, don’t be discouraged!” Sylvia took Kim by the hands and stepped in front of her, looking into the tomboy’s eyes with an adamant gaze. “I’m sure that once you get used to it, you’ll see that it’s not really so bad at all! It’s definitely not something you need to be worried about!”

“Uh… really?” Kim wasn’t so sure about that. She frowned. “Because it sure doesn’t seem that great to me…”

Sylvia shook her head firmly. “Trust me, it’s fine!” She asserted. “It’s definitely got all kinds of advantages, I’m sure! And it’s certainly not a reason to be discouraged and reject future upgrades to your transformations moving forward!”

Ah, so that was why Sylvia was suddenly so invested in this. Kim should have known. Seeing Sylvia’s determination almost made her laugh, if not for her worries.

“…Sylvia might have a point, though,” Marley said quietly.

“Huh?” Carly looked at her sister in surprise. It wasn’t unexpected for Marley to come to Sylvia’s defense in most situations, but this wasn’t something Carly would have anticipated. “Really?”

“I think I get where Marley’s coming from,” Dani agreed.

Another surprise.

Sylvia’s eyes widened. She had expected that Dani would immediately leap to Kim’s defense and call her out on this, going on some tirade about how risky these upgrades were and vowing to never get one herself.

…Unless of course she was trying to lower Kim’s guard to foist her own unwanted transformations onto her. But Sylvia didn’t want to think badly of people.

“I mean, it’s like what we were talking about before,” Dani said, looking from Carly back to Kim. “That transformation… I can see how that upgrade would be really dangerous on another season. Your rivals would absolutely try to sabotage you with it. But we’re all friends here. Not even Vivian or Rose would do something that underhanded and **** a negative transformation on you without your consent, right?” She pointed out.

“Yeah, that’s completely right, Dani!” Nick said, nodding in agreement. “And if they did, I’d have a serious problem with it!” He could imagine Rose doing something like that spur of the moment, without thinking through the consequences. But one good talk with her would keep that from happening, probably.

Kim blushed at Dani’s earnest declaration of their friendship. She scratched her head and smiled sheepishly. “Yeah, uh… I guess you have a point,” she admitted. Maybe her initial reaction to this whole thing was because of her irritation with Vivian’s move this morning with her breasts. The heiress had helped defuse the situation but expanding her chest without her consent like that might have left her more wary of this sort of thing happening in the future.

“So does that mean you’re not turned off from getting an upgrade of your own, Dani?” Sylvia turned to Dani with a hopeful look in her eye. That was her main concern; she knew how sensitive Dani was to transformations, and didn’t want the tomboy to be upset or discouraged.

Dani sighed and scratched her head. “Man… I guess so?” She relented with a shrug. “Look, it’s whatever, okay?” She couldn’t deny that Kim’s transformation had some severe ramifications and had blunted her enthusiasm, but at the same time, they’d all gone through enough situations like this already that her concerns were put slightly at ease. The same way that none of the girls would likely take advantage of Kim’s new upgrade, they wouldn’t take advantage of Dani, either. And neither would Nick.

So while she was a little more cautious about it, she still wasn’t totally opposed to the situation moving forward.

“…Sure, what the heck?” Dani relented. “And besides, if you give me a shitty upgrade I can just pass the transformation onto Kim, right?” She meant it as a joke, but Kim wasn’t laughing. Carly did, though, and Sylvia joined in, which helped lighten the mood.

“Um… can I ask something?”

Everyone turned to Emmy. Nick felt a little startled by her sudden statement; he kept forgetting that she was here! He still had to get used to the young girl’s presence.

“What’s up, Emmy?” Carly asked.

Emmy scratched her cheek. She looked a little shy, still not used to being the center of attention. “Well, it’s just… I’m not exactly used to stuff like this,” she admitted. “I don’t know much about these transformations, but, um… mom, you said that if you were in Kim’s position, you would have upgraded a, um, a…”

She struggled to get the words out, given the topic at hand. But Carly remembered what she said, and her face turned red.

“Yo-you heard that?!” She cringed. “I just meant-!”

“Obviously she heard it?” Marley stared at her sister like she was a moron.

“Yeah, obviously,” Emmy mimicked her aunt, looking exasperated herself. “Mom, I’ve been here the whole time.”

Carly didn’t have a response for that. “W-well… forget you heard it, then!” She huffed.

“Come on, Carly, that’s just being unreasonable,” Nick sighed, rubbing his forehead. He sympathized with Emmy. He remembered being embarrassed a few times back in school, when Carly would loudly talk about sexual topics with him in front of other people. When it was something she cared about, she didn’t hesitate to share her opinion, no matter who was around. And a volume filter was hardly ever a priority, either.

Now though, Carly was starting to regret those old habits. Her face burned and her mind raced as she considered the situation in front of her, and she bit her lip.

“O-okay, um… I’ll… be better about that,” she said with a **** sigh. If she wanted to shield her daughter from sexual stuff involving Nick, it was probably better to not bring up things like “sexy transformations” and support for them right in front of her.

“…Right, thanks,” Emmy said, feeling a little tired. She loved her mom, she really did, but she was hard to deal with at times. But she could see that Carly was trying her best. “Anyway, with, um, ‘those’ transformations, since she can’t upgrade them… couldn’t you guys, like, give her some instead? Temporarily?” In her mind, that made perfect sense.

Seeing the stunned looks on the other women’s faces, though, made her question that. She quickly turned and looked at Sylvia. “Did… did I get that wrong?” She asked timidly. “Is that not how that works?”

Sylvia snapped out of her stupor, her eyes regaining a new light. “No, you’re completely correct, my girl!” She proclaimed, steam practically shooting out of her nostrils. She seized Emmy by the hands, nearly knocking her over. “Yes, by giving away temporary transformations to Kim, we could easily make up for the lack of sexiness of this one! That was exactly my point!”

“Emmy! Aww! My little girl is such a genius!” Carly swept Emmy up in a tight hug, rubbing their cheeks together.

“M-moom! Let go, you’re getting my clothes wet!” Emmy wailed, trying to pry her mother off of her, even though she loved the affection she was getting. “Besides, didn’t you say you didn’t want me thinking about that stuff?!”

“Ah, that’s right.” Carly stepped back, scratching her head. “Mmm, this is a tough one. On the one hand, I’m proud that my daughter has such great instincts for situations like this, but on the other hand, I’m not sure how to feel about her being so perceptive in matters of sexuality…”

“Yup, sounds like your daughter alright,” Marley dryly noted, smirking at the comparison.

Dani had to giggle, even if the joke was at Carly’s expense.

“H-hold on!” Kim had to put her foot down. “Don’t I get a say in this!?” She furiously pointed out. “This is MY body we’re talking about here, after all! Maybe I don’t want to suddenly become a sex doll with everyone’s favorite transformations!”

“Eh!?” Sylvia looked at her in shock. “But it’s for Daddy’s sake. Are you sure…?”

That kind of took the wind out of Kim’s sails. While her feelings on the matter hadn’t changed, she DID want tonight to be a good night for Nick…”

“Sylvia, that’s not fair to put on Kim’s shoulders,” Nick said, coming to his date’s defense. “If she doesn’t feel comfortable doing this, then it’s not what I want,” he asserted. “How many times have we been over this?”

As far as Sylvia may have come since her days as a host, sometimes she still grappled with a mental block that kept her from realizing “Giving girls more transformations would not necessarily make Nick happier.”

But she was trying. If Dakota could understand that, then things would be a lot easier. Nick could give Sylvia some leeway at least.

“I’m with Kim and Nick on this one,” Dani agreed. “It’s what Nick wants that’s most important.”

“Well obviously,” Carly said, nodding. “We were just brainstorming ideas. Nobody’s going to **** anything onto you, Kim.”

“I know,” Kim said, feeling relieved even though she knew her friends wouldn’t do something like that. “I just felt like if I didn’t make that explicitly clear right now, then things were going to bite me in the ass, big time.”

Carly could sympathize with that.

“So yeah, I mean, as far as ideas go, it’s not the worst one,” Kim said, not wanting to give Emmy the impression that she was opposed to her suggestion. She turned to the ponytailed girl. “Actually, I think it’s pretty smart… I might not have thought of it myself.”

“Really?” Emmy wondered if Kim was just being nice. The older girl seemed to be pretty smart, after all. “Well… glad I could help.”

“So does that mean you’re onboard?” Sylvia asked Kim, excited.

“…Provisionally,” Kim commented, taking a step back just to give her some space. While she had come around on Sylvia and considered her a friend, she also knew full well how overwhelming the other girl could be, and didn’t want to be pressured extensively by her. “Look, I just want to be cautious here. I’m not about to let things get out of hand.”

“So we could just experiment with one transformation or two,” Marley suggested. “To dip your toe in the water.”

“What about you, Dani?” Carly turned to Dani. “You could give up your Soft as Silk transformation to Kim, right? Kim, you’d be fine with that one, yeah?”

“Oh, that’s a great suggestion!” Sylvia nodded, immediately agreeing. “Kim would get super strength, and then she’d also get a really curvy figure, too! Even more than now, probably!”

“Hey!” Kim quickly wrapped her arms over her enhanced chest and blushed. “Come on!”

“Are you okay with that, Kim?” Nick asked, looking at her with serious eyes. “I don’t want to support it if you’re not okay with it.”

Kim looked at Dani for a second, imagining herself with a figure like that, only to catch a troubled look in the other girl’s eyes.

“…Dani? What about you?” Kim asked. “Are you okay with that?”

Carly had assumed, as did most of them, that Dani would jump at the chance to unload her first transformation onto Kim. It was one that she’d been opposed to from the start, after all. But Dani looked troubled.

“…Well, it’s not like I have a problem with it, or anything,” Dani said, scratching her head. “Just, well, last time I got rid of it… that was a while ago. And it was kinda weird.”

“What do you mean?” Carly asked, looking curiously at her girlfriend. “You were so happy to get your muscles back!”

“I know, I was!” Dani said, sounding a little defensive to Nick. “But I kinda missed the super strength, you know?”

“It’s only temporary, though,” Sylvia reminded her. “Wouldn’t you like to temporarily go back to your old body?”

“I have an item on my personalized purchase list that could do that,” Dani reminded her. “You gave me that option from the start.”

“Oh yeah.”

“Look, Dani, if you’re not comfortable with giving up that transformation, it’s totally fine!” Nick assured her.

“Yeah, absolutely!” Kim agreed.

Dani just sighed. “No, it’s not that I don’t have a problem with it…” Honestly she was a little surprised herself. She thought she’d be more enthusiastic about this than she was. “I guess it’s just weird to me. I’ve gotten kinda used to my body being like this, you know?” She gestured down at herself. “It’s weird to just go back.”

“But stuff like this is so fun!” Sylvia chirped. “And before you know it, you’ll be nice and curvy again, right?”

Dani shot her a look. Who was it that had given her this transformation in the first place, again!?

Sylvia, sensing Dani’s slight spike in animosity, decided to shut up.

“Of course, if you give up that transformation to Kim, then you won’t be able to upgrade it,” Sylvia reminded the tomboy. “Want me to upgrade it for you first?”

Dani’s eyes widened. “Oh, hadn’t considered that.”

“How about no?” Kim frowned. “If you’re gonna upgrade it, maybe I won’t want to accept it… who knows what could happen?”

She remembered that Dani’s Soft as Silk transformation was actually a blend of two transformations. She wasn’t sure what the effects of upgrading it would be, especially if she would end up getting stuck with it.

“…It’s fine,” Dani said after a pause. “That wasn’t the one I wanted upgraded, either.”

“Mm? Did you have something special in mind?” Sylvia asked, excited. She liked when people had their own ideas for her to build off of; it was better than pressuring people to do things how she wanted, after all!

Dani nodded. “I was thinking… about upgrading I’ll Have What She’s Having, actually,” she revealed.

“The cooking one?” Nick asked, surprised.

Dani nodded again. “Yeah, I was curious what that would be like, since I’ve gotten more into cooking recently,” she admitted. It was a little embarrassing to admit, but after the effects of last night… well, maybe she was a little excited. “Would that be alright?”

“Sure thing!” Sylvia chirped, just glad that Dani wasn’t discounting upgrades at all. She wanted to comment so badly about how Dani was upgrading something that would get her in a sexual mood, but she rightly suspected that bringing up something like that would cause Dani to change her mind altogether.

Sylvia used her transformation again, and Dani started to glow. As expected, there were no physical differences.

She quickly checked her transformation to see what the upgrade did.

Kim swallowed. “So now you’ll give me Soft as Silk…?” She asked hesitantly.

Dani scratched her long hair and looked at Kim, realizing that soon it might be back to its original length. “I mean, if you want it…”

Kim glanced quickly at Nick, who just gave her an encouraging look. He didn’t want to pressure her or anything. He wanted her to make the decision SHE wanted to make.

And Kim… didn’t want this upgrade to go to waste.

“…Okay, I’ll do it,” she relented. “But only for tonight! Um… set the deadline for, like, 12 hours or something.”

She looked down at her qipao, seeing how it strained against her breasts, and hoped that it would withstand the rest of the upgrades her body was about to get. If not, she was probably about to be completely naked, and she didn’t think Emmy would appreciate that.

“Sure, I guess…” Dani wasn’t sure how this worked. She summoned a screen up, and it suddenly focused on Kim. She found a table that gave her the opportunity to pass a transformation of her choice onto the other girl, and it even came with a selection for the amount of time she could do it for.

She made her choice and clicked “Enter” and two things suddenly happened.

Kim and Dani both flashed. Their bodies changed, as Kim’s grew outwards and Dani’s grew upwards. As one tomboy returned to her original height, the other changed back to her original hair length, which she hadn’t been expecting.

“Whoa…” Kim suddenly had to deal with a faceful of black bangs. “It’s been a long time since I had hair this long…” she snickered at her own pun, and realized that she felt as light as a feather now, thanks to her new strength.

Both women looked at their bodies, amazed.
