Feedback Alert!: Andromeda Prize and Audience Purchases

Before we begin the vote set-up, a brief request. I am basically to the point where I need to finalize states for the challenge (that is, I have run out of sections to write until I know who all is getting last minute purchases). If you want to purchase something from the audience shop in time for affecting the first challenge, please do so by next Tuesday, 7 PM (my time). That is also conveniently when the poll below closes, so you do have a timer no matter the time zone. Some things to consider:

• A stat boosting feat for one of your favorite contestants’ primary stats may be extremely helpful. Due to the nature of the dice system I use, the shift from a +2 to a +3 is closer to getting a +2 boost in a d20 system, especially if the character can start stacking advantage.
• It is early days, but buying a character a feature from another subclass in their class may also be useful, especially, again, if it will grant advantage to dice rolls.
• For Gaia specifically, I have yet to roll for her form on challenge day. Her stats ARE affected by the roll (as hinted at by the bunny bistro planning scene during Tessa’s date night). If you want to guarantee that she will be useful in a particular way, you can purchase the appropriate item in your shop to **** a particular animal, which forces a particular stat block.

If you want to see your audience BP account balance, you may do so here. If you been tracking it already, you will notice a few tweaks to presentation. I added sections for purchases (for things paid for and delivered) and pending purchases (for things locked in but not delivered yet). If you have been in talks about purchases and it is not listed in the pending section, that is because I am waiting for further feedback from you before I lock it in. I will try to have that page updated as soon as possible Tuesday night (which is a gym night for me, so I will be cooling down at the gym right as the timer is done).

Now for the vote.

Mona and Andromeda won, and I am not sure what spell to actually give her. The problem is that her best game actions translate into spells she can’t cast yet (Banishment [Level 4] is the best representation of a bounce spell, Power Word Kill [Level 9] is the best representation of a “Destroy creature” effect, and Counterspell [Level 3] is obvious). So, I came up with 4 options from the Second Level spell list and I want y’all to pick from them. Here they are:

• Alter Self - This is the best representation of the Morph mechanic itself. It is mostly a utility spell with some potential melee range combat applications.
• Enlarge/Reduce - I am using this to represent the Overrun effect that Mona used as a “win-more” tactic. It can either enlarge a target (which increases damage) or shrink a target (which reduces damage).
• Gust of Wind - This is an attempt to represent a bounce effect. It adds an environmental hazard to the field, which includes a pushback effect.
• Scorching Ray - This is to represent Mona’s Zacama activations. Three blasts of fire. Pretty standard attack spell at this level.

Andromeda will have the winning spell scribed for the challenge; she will just need to figure out how best to use it. Vote at the link below. Again, poll closes this Tuesday, 26 May at 7 PM my time.

Oh, and finally, for the Magic nerds in the audience, suggest Commanders for me to pseudo-build in the comments for Mona and Andromeda. Be nice if I already had it built, but, if not, I will proxy it for next time I want to play a Commander game by myself.
