Fear

I dodge Fear's attack, as he tries to tear off my arm. I get an idea and cast Dark Chain. I connect my Katana to my Dark Claws. I then drop it and run my hand along Fear's back and leg as he flies past me. As I do I Multicast Explotion and place five marks on him. As he stops a few feet away from me, I activate them. They glow brightly before exploding.

His black energy envelops his back and heals him. He smiles and spreads his arms. Two balls of energy jump off his arms. They change into two small wolf-shaped creatures. They're about three feet tall. They lunge forward, both coming for me. I raise my Dagger and cast Hydra. I make two of the heads bite the wolves. The third head charges up a Pure Elemental Blast. I cast Ancient Beast Roar at the same time. I see Verona run past me and I grab her arm. My Katana dangles on the chain connected to my claw. She turns to me confused before I make the heads toss the wolves. They toss them at Fear, who was rushing us. They crash into him and I release the Hydras Blast and my Roar. They collide with Fear and explode. Verona puts up a wall of wind to block the shockwaves.

The smoke starts to clear and I can see Fear floating. The black energy is covering him, healing every inch of his skin.

"That was impressive Eric. I didn't think you had spells like that." Verona says and I smile.

"You were too focused on my Annihilation School. I have plenty of other powerful spells." I reply and she nods. The energy around Fear disperses and I see his clothes have been repaired too.

"I must admit, I never expected you to do this much damage, Eric. It seems like I can't keep holding back." Fear says before reaching out. A sword appears from thin air. It's made of pitch-black metal. Its blade is jagged and looks more like a row of sharp teeth than a sword's blade. It has no guard and its grip is a black pole.

"Is that your Nuru?" Verona asks and Fear nods.

"It is indeed." He says before rushing forward. He swings it at me and I raise my Katana to block. Our blades collide with a loud clash and he smiles. He presses against me and looks at my blade. As he does so, his smile turns to shock. I raise my Dagger and try to stab his head. He notices and moves to his side. I miss his head but connect with his shoulder. I Multicast Draconic Ice three times.

He grunts and pulls back as I pull my Dagger out of him. I don't know what his Nuru can do, so I need to be cautious. As I do Verona flies in and kicks him in his back. She brings her sword down on his head and he flips around. He used his energy to **** his body to twist unnaturally. He swings for Verona and I cast Hydra. I make one of the heads tackle Verona, to get her away. The other two I make bite Fear's leg and torso. He cuts the Hydra's neck before they bite him and pull him away. A pitch-black darkness spreads from the cut. It starts creating cracks and quickly causes the Hydra to explode, killing it and preventing me from using it again for the next 24 hours. Verona flies around to me as Fear recovers.

"Don't let that blade touch you. It shatters whatever it cuts." She warns and I nod.

"That's an impressive eye you got there Verona. But you're wrong. It doesn't shatter whatever it cuts. My Nuru destroys the very core of what it touches. Any spells will be destroyed from losing their connection to the caster. Any person will die from losing their soul. Any weapons will split into multiple tiny pieces. At least they should, your weapon didn't Eric. Just what is it made of?" Fear asks and I smile. I'm so glad I got that Silver seed now. Well, not that I didn't enjoy getting it. I think before rushing Fear. Verona follows suit and we attack. I swing my Katana, aiming for his sword. I knock it away and stab my dagger into his wrist. I Multicast Draconic Ice some more, trying to freeze his hand instead of hurting him.

"Hold him still!" Verona shouts from behind. I fly around him and grab his other hand, holding them both. Thanks to Ancient Beast Strength he can't break free, but I still struggle to hold him down. Verona flies forward, aiming her sword at his neck. His frozen hand gets engulfed in energy and I squeeze his elbow, causing a cracking sound almost immediately. The energy raises off his hand and envelops the grip of his sword. It grabs it and swings it at Verona. She cuts into his neck as the sword digs into her side and pushes her away. She stops a foot away and forces the blade back with her wind. As she does the same pitch-black darkness spreads through her. It starts creating cracks and blood squirts out of them. Before I can react my head pounds. It feels like someone just hit me with a sledgehammer, but I know I didn't actually get hit. I cast Gaia's Embrace without thinking, just as another pounding sensation hits me. Ancient Thought Acceleration activates as I cast the spell. I see the cracks in Verona's skin slowly heal themselves. A bright green light appears and it pushes against the pitch-black darkness on her skin. I watch as it slowly destroys the darkness and heals her cut. It feels like minutes to me, but it was actually just a few seconds. Once she's healed I feel my Ancient Thought Acceleration wear off. This isn't good. I don't have much mana left. I think before smiling. I store my weapons away and cast Ancient Werewolf. My white tails envelop me and Fear as I transform. We fall to the ground and I finish my transformation before we land. I grab Fear, who tries to break free. I bring him under me and we land, with me landing on top of him. I jump off him and get back as a black ball of energy tries to grab me.
