"So Ermie the Spermie went for it?" Fay says.

"Fay!" you protest.

Fay shrugs. "Well, cachalot is an old name for sperm whale. Didn't you know?"

"No," you say, a little irritated. "I was hoping you could help out too, you know?"

"Well of course I will," Fay says. "What made you think any different? Oh, 'Ermie the Spermie'?" She shakes her head. "All the Draconis students in our study group were calling her that behind her back. Having Senior Student Cachalot be tall and heavy with that big pale broad forehead reminded them of the Great White Whale. You didn't notice?"

You give Fay a blank look.

Fay frowns. "I thought you were supposed to be the perceptive one here, seeing through all the phonies, and I was supposed to be the pretty face."

You snort. "I guess I try not to hear that kind of stuff," you say. "I got full up of that rubbish studying to get into Boarbristle, and then my first year. Part of why I ended up spending so much time with Miss Wormwood. She never called me names."

Fay shrugs. "If anyone called me names I always found some way to get back at them," she says. She bats her eyelashes and pouts her lips, then falls back on the bed, kicks her legs up and spreads them wide. "Lie back and think of ****."

"Fay, you impossible monster!" you say. "Did you really?"

Fay sits up and laughs. "What do you think, Morgan?"

"I think you did it once," you reply. "Maybe twice. But now you get to tell a story on yourself that you're a fearsome seductive siren of **** who will turn your tormentors' dearest friends against them via the power of S-E-X."

"You're a dear, Morgan," Fay says. "So sweet and loyal."

You read amusement on her face. As well as you know her, you just aren't sure.

"But yes, I'd be glad to help Miss Ermintrude Cachalot hunt down and tame a spirit to conjure into your hair," Fay says. "Not everyone has a girlfriend with thousands of arms."

You laugh. "I don't think I can use each hair, you know. Probably more like a couple of extra hands."

"Still," Fay says. "I'm already daydreaming about it. What do you think about a little hair oil? Make it smooth and soft? Mmm, it'll be like being at the center of an orgy, and it'll be just me and you. And your hair." She giggles.

You laugh out loud. "I love you, Fay," you say.

"You too, girlie," Fay says. "You too. Now you set this up with Ermintrude and we'll make it happen."
