Fast friends

In the morning, everyone packs up and heads out. Spirits are high, and Julie is walking alongside Naia, having an animated conversation about what the dwarven city is like. Their friendship is growing quickly, the two of them acting like they are long lost family being reunited.

Aisha smiles at you as you try to listen in. “No eavesdropping, Greg. Let them bond, it’s a good thing!”

You chuckle. “I know, I’m just curious.”

Marin, walking next to you on the other side, laughs and playfully punches your arm. “You just want to know if they’re talking about you. Don’t worry, I’ve seen the looks Julie keeps giving you, she’s definitely interested!”

You laugh, shaking your head. “I’m not worried about that! I just want her to be comfortable around us!”

Aisha smirks. “And I’m sure that has nothing to do with how cute she is, right?”

You shrug. “Of course she’s cute! And yeah, I’m interested, but she’s going through a big change, leaving her old life behind. I don’t want to pressure her.”

The raptor girl laughs. “Didn’t stop you from hooking up with Naia and me!”

Marin chuckles. “Can’t blame him for that, look at you!”

Laughing, you nod. “I’ll agree there. But still, I’ll let her make the first move.”

Marin winks. “With her hanging out with Naia, I bet that move comes quickly…”

Naia raises her voice from behind you. “I can hear my name from you three! It better be nice things like how sexy I am!”

A laughing Julie chimes in as well. “Yeah, and me too!”

You roll your eyes. “It’s obvious you two shouldn’t be left alone together.”

Naia giggles. “Maybe you should come get between us, then…”

When you glance back at them, both Naia and Julie wink at you. Both of them are watching you with big smiles. You laugh and shake your head.
