Right?

Farcadia doesn't think so

Chapter 8 by CaptainPulse

"Your friends are robbing the royal castle?!" Farcadia cries in disbelief. "That's outlandish! You'll be caught for sure!"

"Nah, we've thought this through," the bandit replies. "Everyone's gonna be so distracted with all their rich people party stuff that they won't even realize all their gold and treasure is gone! It's perfect!"

"Yeah, right," Farcadia scoffs, "As if some lowly peasants can outsmart my daddy."

The bandit stares back, confused. "What are you talking about?"

It suddenly occurs to Farcadia that this boy must have no idea who she is. After all, she's without her lavish dresses, perfectly styled hair, and small country's-worth of jewelry, so she must look like any other common-born tramp. How sad, but potentially useful in this moment. "Um, that is... my daddy is also a bandit, and he tried to rob the castle before, too. But it didn't work., and he got caught And he was very smart, much smarter than your friends, surely."

The bandit huffs. "Trust me, my buds are nothing like some old geezer who couldn't hack it as a thief. If he wasn't even good enough to get his daughter clothes to wear, he couldn't have been as good as you say."

Farcadia strangely feels offended on behalf of her imaginary bandit dad. Who is this brat to claim he's better than her just because he has clothes on? "I'll have you know I'm my daddy's daughter, and I can do anything he can but better! Including rob from the royals!"

"Oh, yeah? Prove it, naked girl!"

"I will! I'll bring you all the gold in the castle before your friends even get out the front gates!" Farcadia turns on her heel and starts marching back up the river. The bandit rolls his eyes; he can't believe he was scared of such a stupid girl. She can't even remember to put clothes on; what can she possibly do to him?
