Family vacation

Lizzie and her family were celebrating her younger brother's_Michael_ birthday today. As it was his birthday, the parents gave him the choice of what he wanted to do. Of course, being the rowdy and adventurous teenager he was, he decided the whole family should go camping. Lizzie's older brother, Liam, was too busy with his college work to join them.

Such a shame. Because Lizzie abhorred camping. The last time the whole family went camping outdoors was years ago, but Lizzie did not have fond memories of that time. The bug bites, the heat, and overall uncleanliness did not leave a good impression on Lizzie. She was pretty sure Michael wasn't much of a camper either. He probably chose the location just to spite her.

Lizzie's efforts to protest against her mother, to just go to some modest resort, was not well received. The trip was decided: 3 nights in the middle of some muddy forest out in stinking nowhere.
