Princess Anna explores the palace owned by the Devland family. Attempting to spy on the two brothers Adelais and Vala Anna learns a secret about the Devland family.

You walked through one of the many halls of the two brother's palace. Wearing a white plain dress you found in the dresser in your room. Exploring you round corner light from the sun shined. A court yard with an elegant fountain in the middle. And several stone seating around the fountain. Flowers nearby. Colorful roses. Sitting at the fountain was Vala sat by the fountain just simply gazing at it. A glass of wine in hand. Two female servants stood by a statue of a random warrior.

"Brother!" Adelais shouted. You stood back listening in. Adelais came over to his brother anger and disappoint on his face.

"I spoke to Destiny." Adelais announced as he stood a few feet away from his brother. Vala simply took a sip of his wine stood up turned to face Adelais.

"Who is Destiny?" Vala asked. "Oh, you mean the dumb blonde ****? She has a name? I didn't know." Vala played dumb.

"She told me, no I was alerted what you did."

"What did I do?"

"You crossed the line!"

"Oh, did I now? How so?"

"After having you fun you nearly strangled her to ****."

"Nearly, keyword."

Adelais closed the distances grabbing Vala by the colar of his rich fancy clothing. Vala growled. Adelais then tossed Vala behind him with inhuman strenght. The servants nearby scattered. Vala crashed through the statue. Rolling across the ground. He growled again. Standing up in a flash. "Yes, yes, embrace it!" He taunted Adelais. Turning around to face Vala Adelais had red eyes for a sec you could swear you saw. Then the next instant they were brown. "Use the hate and the anger of our half demon blood!"

You let out a gasp. You try to step away and hide. But Adelais looked up. Spotting you. His attention went back to his brother whom he hissed at again. His eyes going from a brown to a red for a second before he looked back up at you. "Anna, please, come out."

Vala looked behind him over his shoulder. "Our guest of honor is here!" Hands going up in praise. You were hesitant due to Vala but you made quick steps over past him to Adelais's side.

"You two are half demon?"

"Yes, we are." Adelais replied nodding. Vala simply shook his head shrugging.

"Why tell her?"

"Because she's special brother."

"To what? To you? I wouldn't have bought her." Those words stung. "She's just some whore."

"She is more than that trust me brother."

"Trust? Trust is for the weak. The strong need not trust people and mustn't trust family."

"You talk and act like father."

"Father. . ." Vala's voice broke. Tears began to form on his face he took a step closer to you and Adelais. "I AM NOT LIKE FATHER AT ALL! I AM NOT-"

"YOU REMIND ME OF HIM!" Adelais motioned with his hands towards his brother interrupting him. "I've stood by you for a long time. Each day I hear of your violent acts towards your sex slaves. Each day I hear of your vicious acts towards the poor. I saw you kill several of our enemies without showing mercy. One or two of them might have been innocent and-"

"Mercy is for the weak!"

"Mercy is for the strong. People with a heart show mercy. Why the **** towards the people you call slaves. Treat them with respect and kindness and they will show you respect and kindness back."

"I have no heart."

"Do you really believe that?"

Vala didn't answer he remained silent.

"DO YOU?!"

"NO! I DON'T!"

"Then why the dehumanizing actions against them? Is it because it's a fantasy? If it is one get a new one! **** is wrong!"

"You say it's wrong but I don't see you stopping me. Go on, do it! Kill me."

"I WILL NOT! KILL YOU!" Adelais shouted closing the distance embracing Vala in a hug. Vala struggled for a bit then embraced him back in tears. Adelais stepped back out of it. "You are family. Others have said this before but I'll say it here. Family is power. Love, loyalty, mercy, kindness, and respect that's power."

Vala sat down on the ground. Thinking. Adelais sat down beside him. "Remember brother-" Vala began. "Before father ruined me and before I started to do the things he taught me and **** me to do. When I was innocent." Adelais nodded tears in his eyes. "But I am not that innocent boy. I am. . ." Vala stood up. "I am just a broken monster."

"I am too." Adelais replied back.

"You two are half demons right?" You asked. Thinking this a good opportunity for your question.

"Yes," Adelais answered quietly. He stood back up. Facing you. "Let's just say the demon queen on the throne of Itheria killed our father who was a demon who married our mortal mother."

"You want ****?" You ask. But you knew.

"Yes, Princess Anna, we do." Adelais replied. Vala looked up at you shocked. A gasp from him. "Vala-" Adelais began, "Inherited a lot of traits from our demon father. Red eyes and red hair."

"Princess? WHAT THE FUC-"
