Chapter 22 by Admira Admira

Will Mason's Dad know anything?

Family Dinner, Family Mysteries

Stella led us in like a gracious hostess.

It took some getting used to seeing the house this clean, Dad and I had never been slobs and Stella was always a bit of a neat freak. But the maid had dusted and polished every surface to a sheen. She even got us to help her rearrange the furniture into a more pleasing setup.

Through some kind of mystical working of interior design, the living and dining rooms did seem more welcoming and cozy. I had no idea how, but it did.

"Master Ben said he would take over chopping vegetables and the roast beef." She rolled her eyes and smiled fondly. "Apparently I've been working too hard for him to just sit there. That man is too good for me." Stella sighed happily, practically skipping as she sat us at the table.

Annie and Sam had a quick conversation with a series of glances and raised eyebrows. Sam pumped a fist and slid under the table while Annie sat in a chair, pouting prettily.

"Thank you, Stella." My voice barely hitched when Sam started working for her own meal between my legs. "It smells great already!" I suppressed a groan and reached down to slow the android's bobbing head. She wrapped my scrotum with her tongue in retaliation.

"Yeah! I can't wait to taste it!" Annie chirped.

The maid's pale gray skin darkened in a blush and she waved a hand. "Oh, stop! It's what I'm for."

The mouthwatering scent intensified as Dad carried in a pot of some kind of stew, trailing a cloud of steam in his wake.

"I know it's pretty simple, but you can't beat a good stew. Humans have been working on it since before we started writing!" He declared. "Felt good, making it again."

Somehow, Stella had vanished when we weren't looking, entering with a tray of buttered rolls. "I also sliced up some fruit and bought ice cream for dessert."

"It all looks and smells delicious." I said. Annie bit into a roll, humming as she chewed.

Stella reappeared with bowls and utensils, giving everyone a generous portion of vegetable and beef stew.

Dad looked around curiously. "Where's Sam? Did she not come in with you? Coulda sworn I heard her voice..."

I opened my mouth to say some excuse— "She argghhnah!" Her throat suddenly vibrated around my cock and I nearly fell out of my chair.

Sam's head popped up from beneath the table, mouth still full of cream. "'Dun worry, ahm good!"

Annie scooted over to pull her into a kiss. Sam flailed before surrendering her prize. "Mwah! Tastes even better with the stew!" She leaned into me, manic smile that would make Hanako proud on her face. "Mason! You have to start adding it to my meals~"

Sam harrumphed and slid back under. "Suuuuree-ah!-Annie, I'll do that." I gasped.

Dad had a confused smile and Stella looked halfway wistful and contemplative as they watched our little show.

Dad blinked and lost the glassy eyes. He grinned at Annie. "Now, are you this girl Mason couldn't shut up about for months? Something about the smartest and prettiest girl he knew?" Annie immediately turned even pinker than usual.

I ducked my head with a red face that had nothing to do with Sam's cackling as she licked my shaft.

Maybe half an hour later, the last of the pot was scraped clean by the last bread roll. Stella went to find the ice cream and fruit while Annie and Sam set up the living room for movie night, playfully bickering over my third load of cum and which movie to pick. When I looked over at him, Dad seemed to know I was going to ask a difficult question of him.

He hid his face dramatically. "No! Don't tell me I'm a grandpa already! I'm too young!" He cracked open an eye to see my flat stare. "Feh! You used to think I was funny." He grumbled.

"I wanted to ask about Mom."

"Oh." He aged a decade in a second. He put a hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eye. "I know Stella and I are closer now, but that doesn't mean for a moment that I don't miss your mother every single day."

"No, I... I'm glad Stella makes you happy, she'll never replace Mom for you, I know that." I shook my head, we'd gotten off track in a good way? "I wanted to ask more about how you two met, some family history y'know?"

Dad grew a sad, distant smile. "Well, we told when you were little, we met in college. She was a sophomore, I was a senior. We met in a math class I think, Lilian was always good at the real, deep math that's all Greek letters n' junk. Not like me. I need something physical to work with."

"Yeah, I remember that, she had to tutor you, right?"

"We helped each other! Lili made the numbers all line up while I looked pretty!" He wagged a finger at me. "Turns out my buddy at the time, Charlie I think, was dating her roommate. One thing led to another and we started dating that spring. I had to transfer to finish my degree, which strained things..."

He became more and more animated as he told the story, eyes bright. I half-recalled Mom telling me a more...PG version of the story.

"...that weed must've been laced with something, cause Phillip flipped out and I had to punch his lights out in the middle of the party..."

Yeah, definitely no weed in Mom's telling.

"...few weeks later, we got back from Hawaii and Lilian got really sick, throwing up everywhere. Now we'd been pretty careful, so it was a shock when she came back from the doctor with a pregnancy diagnosis." His smile turned to a frown. "It really scared her, being pregnant with you. She was terrified of not being a good enough Mom to you." He trailed off, eyes wet.

A creeping suspicion grew in me. "Did she ever say why it scared her so much?" I saw Stella in the corner, a complicated look on her face, like she couldn't decide what to do or feel.

Dad wiped his eyes and cleared his throat. "A little, yeah. She had a bad family history when it comes to childbirth and motherhood. But, after the bad bout of morning sickness early on, there was nothing. Very little nausea or other symptoms, it was a downright easy pregnancy by the end. You popped out screaming and healthy after barely two hours of labor!" He grinned and patted my back. "Happiest day of our lives, cliche I know, but it really was like nothing else but you mattered when we first held you."

We shared a firm hug right there at the table. A tightness in my chest, a kernel of resentment for my father I hardly knew I harbored, came loose and melted away.

This wasn't confirmation that Mom was why I was like this, barely a suspicion. Not even confirmation that it wasn't from Dad's side either, but I wasn't going to ask anymore questions tonight.

When we separated, I beckoned Stella over with a grin. She nearly leapt into his arms. I left them to their moment and headed to the living room to find Annie and Sam sitting together with teary smiles.

"I guess you heard most of that, huh?" They nodded. I sat in between them and they hugged my sides. We just sat like that for a few minutes until Stella and Dad came in with the dessert.

We ate ice cream and watched the Incredibles, Annie's favorite. Then Stella's choice was a political thriller, followed by my pick in Rogue One, which led to an argument over whether it was a good Star Wars movie or if Disney ruined through sheer collective guilt.

It was a good night, everyone was tired after the last movie, Annie even fell asleep with my dick still in her. Dad pulled me aside after I tucked the sleepy bimbo in bed and handed me a stack of old notebooks.

"What're these?" Most seemed to be classwork and a few journals. I stopped at an ancient leather bound tome with a brass lock and no title. It felt warm in my hand.

"They were your mom's. I planned on giving them to you when you went off to college, put all her notes to use. I remembered them after our talk earlier and thought, why wait?"

"Thanks, Dad." Was all I could say. Not even about the potential information they held, this would be the first thing from my Mom I got in almost ten years.

He dragged me into a final hug. "You're welcome." He choked out.

I slept, cuddled up with Annie and Sam in my arms. I dreamed of my Mom reading to me.
