Chapter 53 by Wrynn Wrynn

What's next?

Fallout?

Shar was busy making sure all the cards in the hedge maze were back on line after she'd lifted the suppression when her phone went off. Not the banshee howl that signaled her Producer had words for her this time but a new tone, one that was part of the strange new era her life had entered.

"Hello?" "No nothing I can't interrupt for a bit." "That sounds interesting but how do I fit in?" "Well you know I can't go. Hang on one second."

Shar brought up one of her cast files, if she remembered right... Yeah there it was, and of course it was her.

"Okay back. Yeah I have someone but she's a handful." "I'm sure she will but seriously keep an eye or three on her. I'll send her over."

Shar hung up her phone and laughed. No contact for so long then suddenly she had other hosts coming over for "coffee" some mornings, and now this. She wondered if it had anything to do with Evelyn or if Aurora had just decided she didn't believe the propaganda. Whichever, or whatever, was behind it it was nice.

Aurora would be handling the heavy lifting from her end, but she'd still need to get her prepared. Shar got up from her office chair and went looking for the little troublemaker. Still shopping with the others it seemed.

.

Laura was still standing with Evelyn by the Moongate. She tried to adjust her shirt occasionally, but there wasn't much she could do. Even with half the buttons undone it was still a bit tight over her newly expanded bust but she had a closet full of shirts just waiting for her that were more than likely already resized by now. She could hold out a little longer before getting changed, no need to buy yet another shirt.

Soon she saw Gabriella and Misty approaching. The Professor was holding what looked like a couple of dresses while Misty had her cloak off and folded over an arm for some reason.

"Too warm?" Laura asked, wondering what had prompted Misty to go without wearing the garment she usually hid under from everyone. In jeans and a T-shirt she looked good, especially with how tight the shirt was as it was struggling to contain her own newly expanded breasts.

Misty shook her head. "Trying to make myself more comfortable showing skin around others. I doubt this morning was a fluke." Laura didn't think she looked like she was having too much of a problem right now, but it was just the four of them here.

"We'll drop things off in our room and meet up at the bar if you don't mind." Gabriella said to Laura while clutching the black and white dresses to herself a bit self consciously.

Laura wasn't sure what that was about but just shrugged. "Sure no problem. I'm going to stop by my own to grab a shirt that fits first. I just figured to wait here for everyone first."

"Good idea." Misty said, looking down at her own shirt that showed most of her stomach off having been pulled up during her expansion. "I could do with a change myself. I hope they've gotten to my dresses by now."

"Probably one of the things Shar ran off to handle. See you at the bar Laura." And with that the Spanish woman walked onto the Moongate and vanished, quickly followed by Misty.

Shortly after Anna and Susan walked up, Susan was holding a small plain brown box.

"You didn't have to wait around." Anna said after giving her girlfriend a big hug. "We could have all just met up at the bar."

Laura shook her head. "After making a big deal out of everyone going shopping with me first going to the bar anyways would have been a dick move. What's in the box?" She turned and asked Susan.

"Well it's not your wife's head but it is kind of a present. Well what's inside is. Before she ran off with Tracy Shar pointed out there's a kiosk that gives boxes for free to match purchases."

"What did Shar want with Tracy? What did she do this time?"

"No idea." Anna shrugged. "She just popped up out of no where like usual and told Tracy she had an opportunity for her and wouldn't go into it further. She did think Susan's purchase was funny though and told us about the box machine."

"Well now I'm really curious about what you have."

"It's, um, private." Susan blushed. Laura was shocked, she didn't think there was anything that could embarrass the busty woman. She'd even taken her enlarged breasts tearing out of her shirt in stride last week.

"Okay keep your secrets." Laura smiled at her. "You two heading on or sticking with me?"

"We'll stick around, someone has to save you from having your ear chatted off." Anna laughed while the quiet green haired elf looked up at her in a loss for words.

Just then Candy buzzed up and flashed into her normal size right before launching herself into Laura for a hug. "O M G! Flying is soooo much fun!"

Laura stumbled back from the momentum of the hug. "I expected you to fly up full sized." Hugging the energetic blonde back.

Candy stepped back still grinning. "Carla talked me into saving up for a deluxe reality adjustment."

"That's a lot of points." Evelyn pointed out.

"Twenty five thousand." Candy agreed, nodding. "But I already have eight."

"What different about the deluxe?" Anna asked, having thought she might need one for her new height.

Evelyn adjusted her glasses again. "It covers all your transformations instead of just one. Quite a bargain if you have a lot of obvious physical changes."

"Oh I probably should save up for one of those." Susan said fingering a bovine ear thoughtfully. "I might need the whole eight weeks we have left to earn it the way I'm going."

Candy grabbed Susan in a bear hug. "But you're doing great in victory points!" Susan could only smile at her attempt to cheer her up, and the hug felt nice.

"What's taking the others so long?" Laura wondered.

.

Stacy glared at the two musicians that had backed up against the machine when confronted by the small dangerous woman.

"Look this is just a misunderstanding." Carla was trying to be reasonable. "Kim was just browsing to vent her frustrations with your twin. We weren't really going to buy anything." She looked over at the redhead. "Right?!" Kim just grumbled something still not looking Stacy in the eye.

"I know she's a troll, but she doesn't mean anything by it. You'll note she'd left you alone since we left the circle."

Carla nodded and Kim gave a begrudging shrug.

"Now if I find out either of you has messed with her I will find some way around Shar's restrictions and make you regret it. Do you understand me?"

"Sure, no problem." Carla agreed. Kim rolled her eyes but said "Sure."

"Good. Now get out of the way so I can buy something for her."

"Wait, what?!" Carla gasped while Kim was now staring at the pink haired woman directly, a look of shock on her face.

"If anyone is going to mess with her it's me. So. Move. Aside." The couple finally made way and Stacy uncrossed her arms and stepped forward looking at the transformations page Kim had been browsing.

"We didn't have enough for most of this so I was thinking of hitting her with a trap card." Kim volunteered, she looked less shocked and more delighted at this turn of events.

Stacy nodded. "Two grand isn't a bad price, and better odds of it being negative instead of something random." She tapped the screen and below the trap card a list of their names spread out.

Carla snorted. "You can buy a trap card for yourself? Who would do that?"

Stacy just shrugged and tapped her twins name which now had a checkmark next to it. Then she pressed her bracelet up against the plate and a big red ERROR flashed on the screen. "What the hell?" She did it again and another ERROR flashed.

Kim held up her wrist showing her bracelet and raised an eyebrow. "Fine." Stacy said. Kim placed her own bracelet up and got yet another ERROR.

"The fuck is this?" Kim asked puzzled.

"We could go ask the elf again?" Carla suggested, not really wanting an answer. She was more and more convinced this was a bad idea.

Stacy put her hands on her hips. "No. Laura's standing right there with her, and I just asked where the machine for transformations was. We'll just have to find some other way to prank her back."

"I suppose." Kim was less mad than confused at this point. Why had one of the machines suddenly failed? And would others start to do so?

Walking back to the Moongate together Carla had an idea. "You don't think she hacked the kiosk to prevent stuff targeting her do you?"

Stacy scowled. It would be exactly like her twin to do that, only more likely to have it trap you instead. "You two want to hear the story about how the FBI came to our house when we were ten because Tracy had hacked a Federal database?"

"Seriously?"

"I don't know how she talked her way out of it, but mom was seriously pissed."

"Maybe a prank war isn't the best idea." Kim said as they came up to the group by the gate. "Maybe a beer or six is a much better idea." She didn't want to think of what other surprises the little hacker might have left for them.

Carly loudly approved of the idea of several beers but Stacy was still scowling and scheming.
