Fall asleep

When you wake up, you find yourself alone in Sotha Sil's bedchamber. You sit up, looking around for him but he is nowhere to be found. You get up and begin to get dressed, your mind racing as you try to process everything that has happened.

You are interrupted by a knock at the door. You tensed up, not knowing who it could be.

"Nevaari, it's me."

You relax when you hear Sotha Sil's voice and quickly go to the door, opening it.

"I'm sorry if I scared you." He says, looking contrite.

You shake your head, "I was just surprised. I didn't know where you had gone."

"I had some business to attend to. I'm sorry I couldn't stay." He looks like he wants to say more but doesn't.

You nod, understanding that he has things he must do. "It's okay. I'm just glad you're back."

Sotha Sil smiles and leans down, gently kissing your forehead. "What kind of master would I be if I left you all alone?"

You blush and look away, not knowing how to respond.

Sotha Sil takes your hand and leads you out of the room, guiding you towards his workshop. You frown when you see the large number of machines and tools, not knowing what he could want with you in such a place.

Sotha Sil leads you to a large machine in the center of the room and has you sit down in a seat. He begins to attach various straps and devices to your body, securing you in place.

"What is this?" You ask, beginning to feel uneasy.

"It's a device I created that will help me understand your body better." He replies, his voice absentminded as he continues to work.

You frown, not liking the sound of that but remaining quiet as you watch him finish attaching the last of the devices. Once he is done, he steps back and looks at you, his expression unreadable.

"Are you ready?" He asks, his voice surprisingly gentle.

You nod, not trusting your voice at the moment.

Sotha Sil activates the machine and it comes to life with a loud hum. You tense up as it starts to move, various probes and tentacles moving towards you as though they have a mind of their own. You cry out as they touch you, some going inside of your body as they begin to examine and study you.
