Chapter 17

What's next?

Faith Meets Maya

The moment you heard the door close, your phone rang again.

32479

You answered it.

The voice was just as cheery as it had ever been.

“So very close, Faith,” she said to you. “You really almost made it.”

“But there was only a minute left,” you argued, “I couldn’t possibly have become pregnant in only a minute.”

“You speak of things as if you understand all the possibilities,” she said to you. “And yet, 49 hours ago you would have declared it impossible that you would spend the weekend as a girl, being fucked by all of your friends. As impossible as it all seems, we still find ourselves here, coming to terms with your newfound identity.”

“Oh god,” you said, “so I am to be a woman for the rest of my life?”

“Yes,” she said, “you didn’t last the full 48 hours. It doesn’t matter whether you were only one minute short, or if you’d let Alex cum inside you that very first time. The end result is the same. Close is not close enough.”

“How in the hell am I going to explain this to everyone?” You asked.

“It won’t be necessary,” she said to you. “You’ll find that everyone in the world will simply recognize you as Faith from now on. As far as the world, your friends, and your family are concerned, you were born Faith Parker, and you have always been a girl.”

You let that realization wash over you. You were to forever be a girl from that moment on. You’d never get to see your penis again. You’d never get to feel what it was like to have that penis sunk deep inside a vagina. It was something you’d always looked forward to experiencing, and you would never know what it was like.

“So are you some sort of fairy godmother?” You asked her.

She laughed. It was a laugh that seemed full of both malevolence and mirth in equal measure.

“Hardly,” she said. “That’s probably the silliest representation of our kind that had ever been pushed on you humans.”

“So who are you then?”

“I am Maya, the queen of the Fae.”

“The Fae?” You ask.

“It is what we call ourselves. It has often been spoken in your language as fairy, but that isn’t quite right.”

“So who exactly are the Fae, then?”

“The closest representation in your literature is probably in the series of books known as The Dresden Files. We exist in a parallel plane to you humans. We possess the powers that have been the subject of all human literature on the subject of magic. We occupy the same physical space as you, but out of phase just enough that we rarely interact.”

“Except when you come play your cruel little games on us?” You asked.

Maya laughed again. It caused the little hairs on the back of your neck (for all your body hairs were smaller and wispier now) to stand up. You couldn’t tell if it was from pleasure or fear.

“You put too much stock in your little fairy tales, and yes, the pun is intended. So many of your stories tell of us coming into your realm to cause mischief of some form or other, all for our own entertainment. We simply do not act that way. There are only two things that cause us to interact with humans.”

“And what are they?”

“The first is if you humans do something that threatens our own existence. Something on the scale of … say … World War II.”

“I hardly think I would qualify as World War II,” you say to her.

“Of course not,” she said with a laugh, “Your situation falls under the second category.”

“Which is?”

“When we have been summoned.”

“Summoned?”

“Yes. Most humans do not believe in our existence, of course. They believe we are made up for your own entertainment. But throughout history, there have been men who have discovered that we are real, and that we can be summoned. These are the men who have been called magicians in your stories. But they cannot perform any magic on their own. They can only summon us and ask for us to use magic in their behalf. This we will only do if they agree to give us something in return that we feel is of equal value.”

“So you are saying someone summoned you and asked you to turn me into a girl?”

“Of course,” Maya answered. “It is the only way anything like this would ever happen, unless of course you were a threat to our existence, which clearly isn’t the case.”

“And who was it?” You asked.

“C’mon Faith, surely you don’t need me to tell you that? There are only two people in the whole world who knew who Faith even was before this weekend.”

“Alex,” you said, stunned by the truth. Your best friend since kindergarten had asked for you to be turned into a girl. “But why?”

“Only he can truly answer that question, but ask yourself this. If John had learned of a way to make Faith a real person, would he have been tempted to try to make it happen?”

Probably. At the very least tempted, for sure.

“And what did he offer that you considered of equal value?” You asked.

“He offered us Faith, of course.”

“Wait, what? He offered me to you?”

“Not you,” she said, “her. Your daughter. The one now growing in your newly formed womb. She will also be named Faith, after her mother.”

“What do you mean offered her to you? Like a human sacrifice?”

“Oh god no,” she said quickly. “I am in need of replenishing the knights of my court. Your daughter will soon be one of them.”

“I don’t even know what the hell that means.” You replied.

“The closest analog in the human world is an ambassador. They are the interface between our world and the human world. Because they are part human and part Fae, they can come and go in both realms as they see fit, without the need of being summoned. It is, in fact, one of these knights that has enabled all of our conversations up to this point.”

“But that makes no sense. Both Alex and I are human. How can our daughter be part human and part Fae?”

“John was born human. You carry his thoughts and his memories, his soul, so to speak, inside the body you now inhabit. But that body was wrought by the power of the Fae. It is as humanoid in its appearance as it can possibly be, but it is Fae, through and through. It means your offspring will be half human and half Fae, unless of course you choose have a child by someone who is also Fae.”

“So I am no longer human?” You ask.

“Yes and no,” Maya answered. “Your body is 100 percent Fae now. But the soul that inhabits that body is still human, allowing you an anchor with which to exist in the human realm. So, you are now also one of the few that can inhabit both realms as you desire. This turns out to be important.”

“Why is that?”

“Because you can no longer seek medical care in the human world, either for yourself or for your daughter. She will be born in the realm of the Fae.”

“Why is that?”

“Some Fae are virtually indistinguishable from humans based on outward appearance. Your body was designed in exactly that way. From the outside it looks very human. Inside, however, it is the body of a Fae, which is distinct from humans in very noticeable ways. Our ability to use magic requires us to have two hearts, for instance. This is not something a human doctor can ever be allowed to see.”

Damn.

Things were even weirder than you had imagined, which is saying a lot, because some incredibly weird shit had been going down all weekend.

“So I could visit the realm of the Fae right now?” You asked.

“Yes,” Maya answered, “you can and you will visit us as soon as you are ready, but no later than one month from now as we need to begin caring for the baby you carry within you. You may wish to stay here for a little while to say goodbye to your friends and family.”

“Goodbye? Will I not be allowed to see them again?”

“They all believe that you are taking a gap year and spending it traveling across Europe. You can say goodbye over the next several weeks, but you will not be able to see them after that until the baby is born and weaned. After that, you can choose what you wish to do with your life and how much time you wish to spend in either realm. Your admission to MIT has been deferred for a year. They are truly excited to have a woman of your caliber attend their institution. That option will be open to you should you choose it when and if you return. I’m sure a woman of your … ahem … talents, will be very popular in an engineering program.”

You had a pretty good idea exactly what she meant. Faith was designed to be a slut. Put a beautiful woman who loves sex into a room full of engineering nerds? You would be very popular indeed.

“The only one of your family and friends that you will be allowed to see in the next year is Alex, although I suspect you may not wish to see him for a while.”

“You’re right, I’d probably want to hurt him if I see him right now. But why would I be allowed to see him?”

“Because he is the one human that knows the truth about you and your nature, since he is the one who summoned the spell. He doesn’t need to believe you are gone to Europe.”

“God,” you said, “I really can’t believe he did this to me.”

“And that’s understandable,” Maya agreed, “but I suspect you will eventually come back to him, and forgive him for what he’s done.”

“And why do you suspect that?”

“Because he has given you an opportunity that few humans have ever had. He has opened the door on countless opportunities for you and closed the door on precious few. He is also the father of your child. That is actually quite meaningful to the Fae body that you now possess. You will be able to enjoy sex with both humans and Fae now, but you will always crave his cock, no matter how much enjoyment you find elsewhere.”

“Goddamn,” you responded. “This is so fucked up.”

“You have indeed been given quite a lot to think about. I suggest you go home and spend a little time deciding what you are going to do now that your life is forever changed. You can come to our realm any time you choose. Call to me in your mind, and you will be transported into our realm. One of my knights will always be there as your guide, at least until you learn how to navigate on your own.”

“I understand,” you said.

And then the call ended.

And your new life began.

You wandered out into the kitchen, still naked, figuring that maybe you should get a cup of coffee. There was no sign of Alex, but Rachel was there, drinking a cup of coffee herself, playing games on her phone.

She looked up when she saw you.

“Hey Faith,” she said. “How’d you sleep?”

“Really well,” you replied.

“Can you believe yesterday?” She asked.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean … Gwen’s little sister. I always though you were cute and all, but I’d never thought about you as a lover. You were just Gwen’s little sister. And yet, yesterday was incredible.”

“It was,” you replied.

“And now your going away for a year, right after I figure out how much fun it is to fuck you. I wish I’d seduced you a long time ago.”

“Me too,” you answered.

You’d just confirmed what Maya had told you. You were no longer Faith, John’s cousin visiting from out of town. You were Faith, Gwen’s little sister whom Rachel had known her whole life. It was as though John never existed, at least in Rachel’s mind. You’d guessed it would be that way in everyone’s mind but Alex.

God how you wanted to punch him in the face.

“Maybe we should make up for lost time today, then?” Rachel said, standing up and sauntering over to where you stood to kiss you.

“I’d like that,” you said. “I’d like it a lot.”

She pushed down on your shoulders until you were kneeling in front of her. She stepped out of her panties and lifted one leg over your shoulder and pulled your face into her glistening pussy.

On second thought, maybe what Alex had done wasn’t all that bad after all. You were going to love spending as much of the next month as possible with the girl you lusted after for so many years. That never would have happened without Alex.

A/N: This concludes my branch of 48 Hours as a Girl. I’ll admit I kind of find myself wanting to explore where Faith, Alex, Rachel, and the Fae go from here. If there is interest in that happening, let me know and maybe I will start on the sequel: Faith Becomes Fae.
