Fair is Fair

By this point, Grace had already pulled into the parking lot of the gym and her attention was solely on you as she waited to hear your reply.

“Of course you can see her. I said I owed you so if this is something you want to see…” you said.

“Oh I definitely do” Grace interrupted, her excitement coming out again.

“Good then. I don’t think Mom will be happy with either of us though” you mentioned, imagining her reaction when Grace came through the door.

Grace seemed to be thinking the same as you watched her face change from the joy at the thought of seeing Mary naked, to then a slight look of worry at how you would have to navigate this.

“We could just say I wanted to see her and would take no for an answer? We do need to catch up after not seeing each other all weekend.” Grace suggested, justifying her answer as she thought about it more.

“That works for me if you want to take the blame. Otherwise we can say I planned to bring you over. It might make her question what me and you got up to over the weekend though” you replied, giving Grace the option to throw you under the bus.

“I think she’ll be more worried about her appearance to think that clearly. God I can’t wait to see her now! I’m barely gonna get any work done thinking about this” Grace said with a sigh, now burdened with waiting a few hours before she could get back home.

“I would have said I’d make those hours more enjoyable for you but I did promise not to slack off today” you teased, knowing exactly how Mom’s predicament was affecting her.

“Yes you did so no take backs! Now, let’s put you to work” Grace said with a smile back, finally moving to get out of the car.

You got out and grabbed your bag before catching up to her, the both of you making it inside at the same time. Grace let you in with her ID while you tried to find yours that had been stuffed somewhere at the bottom of your bag. At first you headed in the same direction and went upstairs but you had to turn off to go to the changing room while Grace headed straight to her office, giving you a wave and a great view of her ass in her workout outfit as she walked away.

Without any distractions from your subjects, it didn’t take you long to get dressed and as much as you wanted to go bother Grace in her office, a promise was a promise and you went down to the front desk to start your actual work.

There weren’t many people here given it was a Sunday evening but a part of you wanted it to be busy given how quick the boredom set in when you had nothing to do. You kept yourself occupied for the first part of your shift by organising anything that looked out of place but even with doing that between dealing with clients at the front desk, you found yourself with little to do after only the first hour.

You still had your phone on you and eventually the temptation of checking the KDK got to you and you had a chance to look over everything in the time that you weren’t doing anything else.

First you checked the total seconds on your subjects. You had been checking them periodically but reviewing them was something you rarely got to do without being interrupted.

With the addition of Izzy, she was now the closest to a level up but Sarah was pretty close in second as her level 4 was only less than an hour of body contact away.

Even with the sleep debuffs, it likely meant that she would be reaching her next level if you slept in the same bed as her tonight unless you somehow managed to push Lucy in between the two of you. Even then Sarah had been pretty determined to spend some alone time with you and regardless of Mom’s decision later, you needed to address if you wanted something to happen before or after her next level up.

…That felt like a topic to think on later though, after you went through some more KDK details and definitely not because you were putting off thinking about it.

Mom was next up after Sarah but with 15,000 seconds to go, you had only really gotten halfway to her next level up since you had very first started. With the trip letting you solely focus on Grace, you had forgotten how hard it had been to progress everyone separately.

With the new ‘man of the house’ role however, you hoped it would get easier to be more blatant with your physical contact while at home and had already started testing that out with Mom at dinner earlier.

Everyone else was still too far away to think out but slowly chipping away at the total was what you had planned for them. Rebecca might be a bit harder than everyone else given her current exclusion from the group but you hoped the meal on Tuesday might help to fix that.

Your own profile hadn’t changed much either. You were still far enough away from your next level to not try and rush it and you didn’t want to currently spend any of your perk points on anything given how rare they were. Looking at your points however, did bring up an interesting point with the shop.

The weekly sale that refreshed every Monday morning was quickly approaching and you were pretty much planning to buy it no matter what it was. The KDK hadn’t steered you wrong so far and each time you had bought it there hadn’t been any regrets. Luckily you had enough points to buy pretty much anything in the store and if something new came up on sale you were pretty confident you would have enough.

After that, you scanned the rest of the app just to check it out, looking at the two new upgrades you had got and not used, checking the passives and actives for each subject as well as some of the hidden and passive effects you had picked up before you finally put your phone down.
