Chapter 9 by Orlog4 Orlog4

What will you answer?

Expose the FBI. You are too afraid to lie

“Well … I mean … they had some interest in my father,” you answer shy and try to take a step back, “I tried to tell them I don’t want to talk about him and that I don’t know anything. But they didn’t cared.”

“Did they told you your rights?” the lawyer asks, “or told you I’m here to see you.”

“They told me you are here,” you admit, “but that didn’t stopped them. Especially the woman. She did … things … I would prefer to not talk about it.”

Almost in the same moment, Agent Warren and Agent Wellington enter the lobby. They head to the door, but the lawyer immediately blocks their way.

“What the hell do you think you are doing?” the lawyer asks aggressive, “you will not speak to my client without me.”

“Miss Pike did not requested any lawyer,” Agent Wellington answers short but strict, “and she was not arrested. She didn’t needed one.”

“You treated me like a criminal and assumed I murdered my own mother,” you reply sad, “and you … you ...”

“Yes, you little brat, I …?” Agent Wellington asks threatening and makes a step forward, “what did I do? Anything you don’t liked?”

“You will not speak to my client without me,” the lawyer repeats angry, “and this will have consequences, Agent. I make sure your boss will hear about this.”

“Good luck then,” Agent Wellington replies almost laughing, “as a lawyer you should know that we didn’t violated any rules. Or can you proof the opposite? I don’t think so. At least not with our coward princess as your only … evidence.”

The lawyer waits until the Agents are gone before turning back to you. You can tell that he doesn’t likes the happiness of Agent Wellington.

“I will sue them, don’t worry,” the lawyer says strict but calm, “if I fill in a complaint by their boss, they will likely let you go for now. But you may have to testify against them. You don’t mind, do you?”

“I … I’m not sure, sir,” you reply and look to the ground, “I … this woman scars me. Can we discuss this later? You told me my father wants to meet me. Can you please tell me more?”
