He sees foliage moving...clearly Robert is not alone staying near the ship, .the 5'11" 185 pound male Adonis pulls out his gun as a precaution: Clearly something OR someone is watching him....BUT WHAT as he makes his way cautiously entering a clearing.

He sees an enormous animal, a creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion and the head of an eagle, razor-sharp talons on its front legs ..."A WINGLESS GRIFFIN IT CAN'T BE, CAN IT"? The creature is standing at the edge of a 12' X 4' deep pit meant to capture small & medium sized animals, instead 'it' holds scared & injured quarry as he gets closer. The massive animal sends waves of fear through the 'food sources' as the griffin leaps into the hole, its talons extended for tearing flesh...its jaws agape ready to feed AND devour its prey.
