Exploring Botany Fields

In the Axiom game, night time was a feature for certain zones to have increased levels of difficulty at night time. Botany Fields is such a zone, in the daytime the monsters consist of slimes and Fek (pigmy goblins), however at night time, bats and other stronger monsters come out to hunt. However Botany Fields is still a starter zone, everything here is balanced with level 1's in mind. If you're careful and you don't pull so much aggro, a level 1 can power level here with little to no problems. Sven wasn't scared, in fact he was nostalgic at being here.

With a stick in hand, Sven walked through the first line of trees, the forest was alive with sounds, howling wolves sounded from deep within the forest, somewhere he had no plans of going into right now, trees fluttered as bats flew through the air, croaking noises could be heard from a nearby pond. Sven readied himself as he noticed a singular bat fly towards him. One at a time was the key for fighting these creatures, it got into scary territory when you aggro'd more than a couple at the level he was at right now, his skills and equipment weren't designed to take on more than maybe 2 attackers at a time.

The bat flew at him with a manageable speed, it came at him with little tact or grace, it aimed a bite at Sven's neck but was deftly dodged just before it connected, followed up by a loud crack of his stick to the back of the bats head. The creature fell limp to the floor, dead. Sven picked the dead monster up and 'pocketed' it, in Axiom online, your character had a limited space in an internal inventory that could be upgraded as time went on, so the creature seemingly phased out of existence, but was actually transported into some kind of inter-dimensional space that only Sven had access to.

Sven marched on, while he was out in the woods and in between fights with bats, forest toads and slimes, he would occasionally come across a kind of herb, harvesting it and tucking it away in his 'storage' space. Night Shade was a type of poisonous flower, archers would often use it to enhance their arrows, however they would also sell for a decent price to a vendor due to the associated risks that go along with harvesting flora at night.

It was midnight when Sven decided to head back, he was tired and his inventory was full to the brim, heading back to the town he entered the Inn, it was empty save for an older looking man behind the bar.

"It's a little late for adventuring hours, don't you think?" Came his gruff comment, Sven merely walked up to the bar, holding the Night Shade flowers in his hand.

"I'm looking to buy a room, how many nights will this cover me?" Sven dropped the flowers on the counter for the inn keep to inspect.

"I aint a vendor so I aint offering vendor prices, I count 8 flowers, all look freshly picked and healthy, well sized too. 3 nights." Sven knew this was a rip off, but beggars can't be choosers. No vendors would be open at this hour, and he hadn't the coin to pay for a room. Selling those flowers would net enough for at least 6 nights, but again, Sven was in no position to argue. Smiling he held out his hand, the inn keep took it and they shook on the deal.

"Breakfast hours are 7AM to 9AM, if you oversleep you forfeit your free meal." The man said as he handed Sven a bronzed, rusty key. Walking up to his room, Sven opened the door detailing the most bare of necessities. A straw lined bed, a wardrobe, a singular desk and chair, a sink attached to the desk. While primitive, at least Axiom had running water built into the lore of the game. Sven was never so thankful for this as he was right now.

As soon as his head hit the straw lined bed, he nodded off into a peaceful sleep.
