Explore her new powers

As Mary surveyed her surroundings, seeing the fallen tree and gouges in the earth, she began to think.

'This new body is unbelievable, I did all this damage without even thinking about it. But what if I have other powers? Superman has a lot of powers, so maybe I have others like him. What about flight?'

She ponders for a second how it would work, since if she did have powers maybe they needed triggers of some sort.

'Why don't I try jumping to get myself in the air? If I fall its not like I'll hurt myself with this body.'

So Mary, squatting into a low position, prepares herself before pushing her legs into the earth to launch herself into the sky. The **** she generates puts another round of shock-waves in the Earth leaving a small crater from her start position. Her jump raises her thousands of feet into the air, ascending at a breathtaking speed. Before she decelerates she has passed 10,000 feet in the air. Her mind takes all of this in, but soon focuses on her new goal of flight.

Just before gravity can reassert itself, her body begins to defy it in a new way. Thousands of feet in the air, her body refused to return to the earth. Just as the mysterious phenomenon had given her body a new strength, it had excepted her from natures laws. This raised new possibilities for Mary.

'This. Is. Incredible. It's a dream come true! What about my eyes? Superman could see miles away, plus he had all sorts of vision powers like heat and x-ray vision.'

She looked at the ground and concentrated. Just as if she was looking with a microscope, she could pick out thousands of tiny details in her home town. Details like the fiber weave on the flag flying over the town courthouse and the numbers on her best friend's mailboxes.

Suddenly she sees something else.
