Chapter 3 by Peri2g Peri2g

Where should I go?

Explore The Witches Stitch

You find yourself intrigued at the name of the unique studio. You push through the door, to the soft ringing of a pleasant little bell. The chimes seem to welcome you into the friendly, if over stocked shop, just as much as announce your presence. Immediately you feel as though there is something warm and accommodating about the place. A warm voice of an older lady sounds out from the back, "Be with you in a moment, dear." You can hear her surprisingly well, and notice that the loud and boisterous sounds from outside are completely silenced by the stern wooden door.

You hear a shuffle and scuffle as boxes and cloth is tossed aside, and an attractive, if short, middle aged lady steps from around a corner. She has a curly auburn bun pinned up with knitting needles, and her smooth and skinny fingers seem dexterous and, and dance about like spiders legs as she toys with the buttons of her short apron.

"Welcome to the Witches Stitch. I'm sure you've guessed that things aren't quite the same as at other shops. My clothes each and all do something special for the wearer. If you'd like I can show your around..." She offers kindly.

With a wave of your hand you dismiss her, sorry for having disturbed her work. "No... no, just looking actually."

She winks. "Of course, well I'm sure a sweet thing like you will find plenty to satisfy here." She titters as she retreats back to her work.

At first, you're not quite sure what she means. But as you look around, you find that all of the clothing is either overtly, or modestly feminine. The work is quite incredible to have been done by hand, or... perhaps magic? And much of it reminds you of clothing and styles from back home. In fact, very few of the articles of clothing look native to the Romanesk world you've just come from.

You come across corsets and garters, dresses and coats, skirts and slacks, robes and hairnets, veils and cowls. They are all very beautiful, but nothing for a man. You find yourself a bit embarrassed for coming into a women's apparel store and consider leaving, but before you do...

What happens, or what have you done?
