Explanations (I am serious)

“Can someone please explain?” John asked softly, as he hoped that someone would answer him, and ignore him in the same prayer. “Since these two girls are doing a poor job of it, I guess it will be up to me to teach you,” Mrs. Wentworth stated as she turned back to him. With a wave of her hand, the ice melted and allowed John to stumble free. “Since you are new to this power, how much have you learned?” Mrs. Wentworth asked calmly.

John explained as best as he was able to remember from his conversation with the Barbarian. This mostly covered the very basics of the Abyss and the fact that the Illusion Barriers were a way for people with power to fight or to wield their powers.

“I think I have met that man before,” Mrs. Wentworth muttered softly, an almost soft look of familiarity in her eyes. With a blink, the look had disappeared before she continued, “It seems like he gave you the basic information. However there are a couple of different types of barriers, and features of the barriers that he didn’t talk to you about. The most important at the moment is the types of barrier, and specifically, a trap barrier like this, which is designed to hold whoever it catches inside until one of two things happen. One of the people inside the barrier break the barrier by being stronger than the one who cast the barrier.” She looked at John and gave him a sly little wink, to which Moonstone growled at. Ignoring Moonstone, Mrs. Wentworth proceeded, “The other thing is if all of the enemies inside the barrier are defeated. There are other ways but those are the two easiest to complete.”

John shook his head in disbelief. ‘How did I get trapped inside such a crazy world?’ John thought to himself as he looked at back at Moonstone, who in turn shrugged. “Can you get us out of here?” John asked the teacher as he turned back to her. She smiled and shook her head. “Now why would I do that. I finally have the Brighton where I want her, and on top of that I have two new little play things to test how strong they are. Don’t want my toys to break too early now,” She said with a laugh before disappeared into a puff a of smoke. Smoke which was parted moments later by a pair of female fists.

John looked up at the ceiling of the Trap Barrier school, and for the life of him couldn’t remember how he had gotten there. “No time to screw around,” a voice coughed above him, although now that he thought about it, if he was on the floor wasn’t everything above him. A young lady leaned into his field of view, reached down and pulled him to his feet.

“What just happened?” John asked, as he found that his jaw ached slightly, “Nothing!” demanded Moira, who seemed to be oddly blushing, “Let’s just find the enemies and dispatch them.” Moira stomped away, her armor made much less noise than John would have expected, followed by a softly chuckling Moonstone.. ‘Guess the game makers didn’t get that one right,’ John thought to himself as he noticed a pair of pop-ups before him.

‘What is all that about?’ John wondered as he began to follow the two ladies that had almost killed him. It took them several minutes before they found another group of enemies. John used Observe on them before Moira and Moonstone charged into the group.

An abomanition caused when Orcs crossbreed with humans or elves. Fierce warriors who never back down from a fight, even if doing so would be in their better interest.
Special: Group Mentality: When the leader of the group calls out a specific target, all Half-Orcs in the area will immediately attack that target.
Bully Tactics: When fighting against a perceived weaker target, Half-Orcs get a +5 to strength, as long as they are fighting in a group.

‘Just like Frank does,’ John thought to himself as he tried to stay out of the way in combat. He kept up Observe as he waited for a chance to make himself useful. When a Half-Orc attempted to attack Moira while her back was turned, John saw the red marks of target areas on the creature. He kept silent as he stepped forward and plunged the dagger into those spots several times.

John backed up a step as the now wounded Half-Orc turned to face this new threat.

John blinked as the Half-Orc seemed to explode in his face, covering him with gore and blood. He wiped the blood from his eyes in time to see the ice covered fist of Moonstone swinging into the next enemy.

John shook his head as he cleared the pop-ups away and moved back out of the way of combat. He continued to strike from behind until the last enemy had been defeated.

John looked around and saw there was a couple of items on the ground that the women who were more or less escorting him didn’t seem to notice, so he quickly picked them up without observing them as Moonstone and Moira didn’t seem to want to wait and were busy looking for the next group.
