“Oh no, your majesty, they’re fighting!”
King Dedede gave her a little slap on the butt. His little helper abhorred ****, even if it was through a spyglass while riding her king’s mighty cock.
She was nothing if not dutiful. Isabelle had come to him when her village was swallowed by the darkness. She was the only one who’d escaped, but the experience had left a mark on her. Like all who came into contact with it, she’d had something unlocked within her; ravenous desire of the flesh. Dedede had experienced the same, yet where others had blindly thrown themselves into the fight — and getting consumed by their new desires in the process — he’d started planning. And sweet little Isabelle had helped him.
“That is good, dear. They will be distracted.”
“Oh yes,” she said. “Right.”
“Tell me when one side is close to winning.”
“Yes sir!” she said, as she picked up the pace, her tail excitedly wagging.
Dedede pulled his gaze away from her cute little ass for a moment to inspect his set up. The cargo’s arm was primed to snatch up the losers, the other trophies —a princess, a plumber, and some guy with a baseball cap— were fastened tightly. He had three, but he needed more.
“Looks like the ones with the other plumber are winning,” Isabelle grunted.
“Very well,” the king answered. “Hop off and grab the stick —no, not mine, dear girl — and charge as soon as the trophies drop.”
Dedede himself positioned himself at the arm, ready to claim his prizes.
A few moments later the cargo sped forward, surprising the combatants.
One, a bipedal dinosaur with a cheerful pose.
Two, a tall woman with glasses.
Three, a young man with sword and shield.
It would have to do. In one swoop, Dedede grabbed all of them.
Sadly, the victory was short lived. To his utter surprise, kirby, the pink ball of obstruction, had climbed onto the cargo and immediately sliced off the vehicle’s arm.
Dedede was stunned to watch his trophies tapped back to life as the cargo kept driving.
“Did we get them, your majesty?” Isabelle chirped.
“No,” he grunted. “Turn around, we’ll get them while doubling back.”
“Yes, my lord!”
The cargo spun around, drifted a moment, then sped back up towards its targets.
“Whoops!” Isabelle shouted as she saw the warrior aim his bow at them, before swerving out of its way as the arrow dug its path through some of the cargo’s more important parts. The thing started smoking immediately.
“Time to go, dear!” Dedede commanded, pulling out his hammer to fend off any attackers.
Dedede took a small step back. His three trophies were arranged neatly in the middle of the hall. Luckily, despite their damaged vehicle, they managed to stay ahead of their pursuers and reach the castle.
“Your highness? It seems we only have two brooches left.”
“Just the two?”
“I think we lost the rest during our retreat…”
Dedede sighed. Then he removed his own brooch, and handed it to Isabelle.
“Are you sure, your Highness? Maybe we should use mine…”
“No.” He said, patting her on the head. “No, we’ll use mine.”
She nodded hesitantly, then stuck the brooch to the third trophy.
A tremor shook the mighty columns of the castle. Dedede grasped his hammer again, and turned towards the door.
“They’re coming. Get ready to hide.”
“But, your highness…” she pleaded. “Could you not just explain to them what you’re planning?”
The earth shook again.
“They wouldn’t understand. They only know battle.”
“But—“
Suddenly, the ceiling collapsed. Heavy stones rained down on them, and as Dedede looked up in surprise, he saw the shells of the koopa army shimmering in the sunlight.
