Execution

"Can you come with me? I will require some help with keeping the human immobile for the procedure." She asked the guards.

Both of them didn't even bother to answer, they just walked inside, shutting the doors behind. One stood close with his arms on his chest, while the other decided to hold you. First he removed the chains from you, he didn't deem you any threat, and you knew you had no chance of overpowering such individual. He looked extremely disinterested in what was going on, and even when he grabbed you and locked in a pose that exposed your arm while making the rest of your body immobile, he was staring at the ceiling, with bored expression on his face. His companion looked similar, looking more through the tiny window, than at whatever was going on inside.

"I have to admit, you are reacting in a surprisingly calm manner, David. You are about to lose one of your limbs, and then your life."

She said as she approached and lined up herself for a proper hit.

"I managed to learn to accept the situation if I can't do anything about it." You responded. Of course you were still scared about your survival, but considering all you went through in these last few weeks and earlier, fear was a familiar feeling.

She raised the sword above her head.

"Yes, you can't. But I can." Carmen responded.

And then she dropped the blade.

You closed your eyes, heard a sound of flesh and bone bearing teared apart. But... Aside of the feeling of being pushed away, you didn't feel any pain.

You opened your eyes.

You saw a horrible image of two mutilated bodies in front of your eyes, one of them having a sword stuck inside his helmet and Chimera girl trying to get it out.

"Wh... Wait, what?" You managed to say before finally catching up. "Thank you."

"Don't show gratitude yet. The fact that I changed my opinion in the last moment and rendered a choice of trying to run away with you instead of living in servitude to them doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet. It's still very likely that we will die before escape."

She said while finally getting the sword out.

"Then why did you do that?"

You stood up and moved to the doors with her.

"After weighing pros and cons I figured out that both a chance at getting freedom and dying during escape are still going to be vastly superior to whatever life I have in here."

You looked at the hallway outside. The way was clear.

"Here, take this." She handed over to you one of the swords.

"Thanks." You said, feeling a tiny bit better with a weapon in hand.

:You know how to use it?"

"Not really, but it's better than nothing." You admitted. She just shook her head and sighed.

"In the event of the successful escape I will take as a payment a proper intercourse with you. For academic purposes, of course."

She added, and then moved in to the western part of the hallway.

You stood wordless, trying to process what she just said. After few second you just shook your shoulders, remembering you are in a completely insane world, and followed the crazy Chimera girl.
