Everything is normal

After a couple minutes of quickly walking through the town, trying to leave what they saw earlier behind them, they reached their house. With a quick glance over his shoulder Richard checked to see if he could see any shadows following them. Not feeling the sense of something else around them, he held the door out for Jess to step through as he stepped in behind her and they headed for Richard's room. Passing the kitchen, Richard noted that their mom was back home and was now unloading groceries.

"Okay you ready?" Richard asked, holding his hand over his ring.

"Yeah I'm good." Jess replied, taking a seat on his bed not knowing what to expect.

With her ready, Richard touched the ring. He watched as the green shield around Jess faded back into her and then a green line shot from her back towards the ring, refilling it with some energy. Then Richard felt the same feeling that he normally did, as if the energy around him in the room seemingly flowed back into him. Sounds resumed around them as they heard the birds and insects outside start chirping, they realized

"Is that it?" Jess asked quietly as if not to alert their mom of their conversation.

"Yeah that's it"

That's when they heard their mom. "Dinner's ready!"

Richard and Jess made a look over themselves to make sure they had all of their clothes on before heading to the kitchen
