Eventually

Arthur and Mata exited the booth. “Can I just take you?” Arthur said to what appeared to be nobody. “You worked here, right?” A blue tentacle shot out of his shirt and reached under the counter retrieving a set of keys which she tossed in the register slamming the drawer shut with a loud clang. Another tentacle flipped the sign to closed and a final pseudopod grabbed a pen and paper, writing a note which read: Fuck you Don I quit.

“Okay, wow, uh I guess that answers that. Where do you live? Or do you want to stay with me?” She vibrated around him in what he could only guess was the affirmative. “Okay, do you have stuff to grab? From your apartment?” A tentacle shot out and grabbed a plastic box labeled ooze containment and tossed it into the trash. “Did they… make you live here? Shit, that’s fucked. If you want we could find this Don guy and beat the shit out of him?”

She said no but I say let’s fuck him up.

“I don’t think that will be helpful.” Arthur replied. “Let’s get you a job that actually pays something.” Arthur remembered the other thing he was going to ask Mata. “Hey Mata, speaking of work, I texted Danyssa earlier, mine and Kira’s boss, and there is a position open for you if you want it. You can basically name a number and if you want you can work from home or actually come into the office with us?”

Her eyes lit up, and she nodded seriously. “I think that I can do that, Boss.” Arthur pulled his phone out of his pocket, it felt like sticking his hand in a bowl of warm jello, she vibrated again. Weird. At least she didn’t eat it or his wallet. He sent another text to Danyssa’s cell asking about another hire.

He had to get back to the office, so he dropped Mata back off at her apartment. Sitting in his car in the parking garage, he realized that he never did buy anything. Hopefully, he asked “Can you make me look a little more professional?” The shorts lengthened out into pants and appeared to change texture. His flip flops morphed into actual shoes, and his shirt shifted from a baggy tee to a nice button up long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. “Damn, you make me look good.” He whistled appreciatively. She squeezed his crotch. Yeah she says she doesn’t care about the money she just wants as much of that magical man splunk as she can handle. The fabric around his crotch turned blue and he could feel sucking and stroking action, it messaged his balls and reached all the way back to- “hey! Woah there!” The pressure increased. Listen, you produce a lot of valuable proteins that are better than the low grade nutrient paste that they were feeding her, and your body now absorbs and refines way more magical energy than any living mage. Don’t be greedy, and give that dirty little slut as much of that hot tasty cum as she can handle.

With no more warning he exploded, but none of it escaped, being absorbed as quickly as it splurted from him. Shimmering, it rippled out and he could feel her heating up around him, vibrating with the same resonant energy that seemed to match his own in intensity.

“You, you’re dangerous.” He finally huffed out after he came down for a minute. “I’m not going to get anything done with you around am I.” She vibrated pleasantly around him as he pulled himself out of his car.

When he got in he checked his schedule. He had another interview today. Crap who had the next interview. He sorted through his files looking for the candidate list.

There was the Gorgon, the dark elf, the witchkin, a half tabaxi, and… a lamia? Was she in the mix before?
