Evelyn makes her move

Evelyn turned around, allowing Spencer to start rubbing her back. As soon as she felt his touch, Evelyn felt relief. Her mind also thought about the things she'd love to do with Spencer, considering they have the house to themselves. Most guys seemed to be intimidated by her and her uniform, but not Spencer. Spencer made everything easy.

She knew if she was to make a move, it had to be now.

"That feels great Spencer."

"That's good."

"Seriously, you're an angel." Her hand grazed Spencer's leg, something he didn't think was intentional, until she began rubbing.

"Uhh, Evelyn?"

"You like that?"

"Uhh, I think it's best you stop."

"You sure?" Evelyn said, facing Spencer. Evelyn took advantage of his befuddlement by pulling him in and giving him a kiss on the lips. As she pushed her tongue into his mouth, Spencer pushed her off and stood up. "I think I should go."

"Spencer... Wait. I'm sorry."

Spencer did the exact opposite, grabbing his tools and heading for the door. The whole situation had been a surprise he wasn't ready for. He was still unsure if he was ready for another relationship, or if he ever wanted one. He supposed Evelyn was nice enough, but he felt that way about a lot of the mothers at Carter JHS.

Evelyn retreated to her bedroom, where she curled up. Spencer was perfect, except for his heart that remained haunted by the ghost of his wife. She wondered if she hadn't been so impulsive if she could have gotten Spencer right where she wanted him, instead of pushing him away.
