The group drags the Scorpioness out of the water and then Talwa agrees to bind her, coiling her up with her tail so she can't move any part of her body when and if she comes back to her senses. After that Yulia and the others move over to the wasp. A quick cast of Cure releases the paralysis and hypnosis and the Wasp wakes up.

"Unfortunately any powers the Collector had seem to be gone now that he's been reanimated by the staff. Even his eyes seem normal now," Lemiel says, carefully manipulating the head of her new zombie. It's eyes indeed seem entirely normal. It seems the staff can't create undead with any special properties and robs existing undead of their current properties when it deanimates and reanimates them.

The Wasp once awake immediately tries to find and grab for her spear, but it's been taken away. Still she tries to attack bare handed upon being unable to recover her weapon and has to be stopped with a cast of Puppet by Goma who has also taken this opportunity to relax in the oasis and cool down.

Water is passed around as the group wait for the Wasp to calm down and eventually she seems if not calm at least resigned.

Yulia approaches her, "Hello... We just want to ask some questions of you," she says and the Wasp merely glares at her.

"What can you tell us about the Hive?" Yulia asks and the Wasp merely continues to glare at her, "Talk to me?" Yulia suggests and the Wasp just glares at her.

"She doesn't seem forthcoming. Do you think she's just being obstinate or do you think she can't answer?" Maple questions.

"Do you think whatever spell controls them, compels them not to speak?" Cherchiel asks.

"Maybe we can try to get the collar off?" Lri suggests.

"She won't talk to you unless I or one of my sisters tells her too!" The Scorpioness speaks having woken back up.

"Alright then... I guess we'll just have to ask you instead," Yulia says stepping away from the Wasp and approaching the Scorpioness.

"Why... Why the fuck would I help you?! You let him..." she starts and her voice breaks and she takes a few deep breaths, "I hate you, there's no way I'd help you!" she says after recovering.

"Well it's not my preference, but... If you won't help us willingly..." Yulia starts and then suddenly Talwa turns her tail and plunges the Scorpion face first into the water, holding her head under as she thrashes in Talwa's coils. Her tail desperately trying to sting, but being held tightly in place by Talwa's own. After a few seconds she's pulled back up coughing and sputtering.

"I really don't like doing this, though I know you probably don't believe me. Anyway, tell me about the Hive," Yulia asks.

"Fuck..." the Scorpion starts and then coughs violently before continuing, "You want to know about the Hive... Fine... Inside the Hive you'll find a room full of people just like you who thought they mattered and just like you they learned the truth and now they're serving their purpose filled full of our eggs. The best possible hope for a lowly creature like you and when you inevitably succumb to us and you're held in that chamber, I'm going to enjoy watching you getting pumped full of eggs. I hope you remember this moment with each child you push out!" she yells before being unceremoniously **** back under water.

Yulia looks a little shaken by her words and Cherchiel puts a hand comfortingly on Yulia's shoulder, "don't let her threats get to you," Cherchiel says and Yulia shakes her head.

"It's not that... I just... She really... Really hates us. I'm not used to experiencing so much vitriol aimed at me. Even Levateinn didn't feel like she hated me so much. I don't like the feeling of someone having that much animosity towards me," Yulia admits.

"Well torturing her for information definitely isn't going to make her like you more..." Cherchiel admits.

"What have I become inside this tower..." Yulia mutters before Talwa raises the scorpioness again who lets out a choked noise and then throws up a bunch of water before dry heaving and gritting her teeth.

Yulia noticeably tries to hide her discomfort as she addresses the scorpioness again, "the sooner you cooperate the sooner we can both go our separate ways," Yulia suggests and the Scorpioness chuckles humourlessly.

"That's how you see this working? You get me to tell you what you want to know and then you just leave me here and go on ahead? There's no way I'm letting you just leave. I'll fucking kill you before I let you get closer to the hive. You want to progress towards the base of that Tower, you're going to have to kill me," she growls.

"We'll just bind you and leave you here," Yulia responds confused and the Scorpioness chuckles.

"and I'll be free in seconds... Ready to come up behind you and shove my stinger right up your ass!" she responds and thrashes violently towards Yulia and Yulia jumps back and then curses herself for letting herself be startled by the sudden motion, "you think you have the upper hand and for the moment maybe you do, but you're weak and stupid! I'll find a way to get my **** unless you kill me," she promises.

"It's almost like... You want me to kill you," Yulia asks and the Scorpioness nods.

"You might as well... With my eggs stolen I have nothing left... No reason to live, none but my desire to hurt you," she explains. Yulia looks thoughtful and then speaks.

"Tell me what I want to know and you and I... Can have a fight to the ****. You can kill me or die by my hand or you can stay quiet like this and I can show you that you're wrong and there is another use for you," Yulia offers and the Scorpioness looks confused.

"Another purpose?" she asks, confused and then Yulia leans forward and grabs the Scorpioness' head and yanks it back.

"Yeah. I'm sure the Hungry Sands doesn't care if you have eggs or not and I doubt you'd be a problem for me after being dropped off there," Yulia answers and the Scorpioness is silent.

Yulia's allies are also shocked by this suggestion. Cherchiel suddenly grabs Yulia's arm and drags her away, "What are you doing? Are you serious about tossing her to the Hungry Sands?" she asks horrified and Yulia hesitates and then nods.

"If this Tower wants to make me a monster... Then fine. I am going to save my world, no matter what it takes and I am done feeling bad about it. It won't matter though she'll never risk calling the bluff. She's terrified of the Hungry Sands, everyone in this desert clearly is and she already wants to kill me or die by my hands so she'll crack and tell me anything I want to know," Yulia explains and then goes back to the Scorpioness.

"Now then... Will you answer my questions?" Yulia asks and the Scorpioness hesitates and the reluctantly agrees.

"It won't matter. After I'm done you'll be dead," she speaks and Yulia nods.

"Sure... So, tell me about the Hive," Yulia commands.

"The Hive is mostly underground, as you can see on the surface there's just a straight shot to the Tower base, but you won't reach it on the surface. You won't even get close. There's ****, but to descend into the Hive, willingly or otherwise. Ahead of you lie the Quivering Sands an expanse of trap holes meant to catch idiots like you and **** you to fall into the Hive or get dragged into it. Even if you get through the Quivering Sands though you'll run into the barrier. It's maintained by the Tarantulas, prevents access to the Tower from the Surface so you'll have to descend into the Hive. The Wasps, Tarantulas and we Scorpions all share the Hive, but we're in charge. The Tarantulas and Wasps spend their time when not doing the tasks we command of them, in their little sections of the Hive. The path to the Surface, to the base of the Tower is just past the Nest, which is where you and all your friends will inevitably end up, assuming I don't end up killing you here and now," she explains.

"I see... Tell us about the Wasps and this spell you have that commands them," Yulia orders.

"Heh... The Wasps are controlled by the Tarantula's technically. Their spell, constantly maintained in their little temple, keeps the Wasps obedient and subservient. The Collar is a direct control method that lets us issue direct commands, but even without the collar they'd still be bound by the spell, just we wouldn't be able to give them orders anymore, only the Tarantulas currently maintaining the spell would. If for some dumb reason you want to free them, you'd have to go break the spell," she explains, "but I wouldn't... Sure they'd turn on us, but it's not like they'd be any friendlier to you," she clarifies.

"Do you know what the Collector did with your eggs?" Yulia asks and the Scorpioness hesitates.

"A Tarantula once suggested the Collector's robe was some kind of external space and that it kept all the Eggs in there, but the robe seems to have vanished so who knows if that space is even still accessible. Getting our eggs back is pointless either way," she says sounding extremely depressed about it.

"I see... Is there anything that would make the Hive attack the Hungry Sands?" Yulia asks and the Scorpioness laughs.

"Are you fucking kidding? No. There's no way any of us would willingly set foot there. That place is a **** trap, except instead of killing you it traps you for ever to be fed upon," she answers and Yulia nods and turns walking away to the opposite side of the Oasis.

"That's all my questions... Talwa release her," Yulia orders and Talwa hesitantly uncoils from her and she drops into the water and quickly stands back up. She's clearly seething with rage.

"You ready to fucking die now?" the Scorpioness asks stepping towards Yulia as Yulia gestures for everyone else to get back. The rest of the group quickly moving to a safe distance out of the water.

"I'm not, I'm not ready to kill either... A part of me. The part of me I'll set free again hopefully when I get out of this Tower and return home, doesn't want to kill you, but this is... A mercy killing. I've never done one before, but I am aware it's part of being a healer sometimes," Yulia starts and then grips her staff tightly, "another part of me points out... I don't even know your name. I should learn your name at least before killing you," Yulia continues, starting to ramble a little, "but... I don't want to learn your name. You learn a name to remember it and when I'm free of this Tower and I return home, I hope to never remember you again," Yulia finishes. The Scorpioness seems a little nervous about this speech, but quickly recovers.

"Well... I'll be sure to remember you so I can pleasure myself to your scre-" she starts and Yulia cuts her off with a pair of words and a very significant action.

"Lightning Strike," Yulia intones and blasts the Oasis pool with a bolt of lightning. the sudden electrical current hits the scorpion and a high pitched scream rises from her as her body goes rigid. She collapses moments later, twitching and Yulia tilts her head, "I'm surprised. I assumed that would kill her, but she's still just barely alive," Yulia notes and seems to be about to fire another lightning strike.

"Wait!" Lemiel yells. She rushes over to Yulia, "don't kill her!" Lemiel begs and Yulia looks away.

"She wants me too," Yulia argues.

"Who cares what she wants!" Lemiel yells, "at... At least give yourself something... Let the voices decide..." Lemiel suggests and Yulia hesitates.

"I'm not going to be a coward and hide behind their decisions. If they say to kill her, it is still my choice to do so," Yulia says.

"Then what do you lose by giving them the chance to choose mercy?" Lemiel asks.
